Claudia's point of view...

Hello there! Yes, I am breaking the fourth wall, but I don't have enough time to explain that. Also, I don't exactly know how to explain it . But, that's besides the point. The point is, I am a runaway. Now I know what you may be thinking, no I am not running away because I'm mistreated, I am okay, and I'm especially not doing it for attention. Let me explain, I am a mage. Okay, that's not the best explanation, now is it? Well you already know how Otherworlders got banished from earth and all that jazz, well mages were one of those. Most people don't know this, but if SN Hunters, Super-Natural Hunters, find us Otherworlders, we could be sent back to the other world. Or worse! We could be murdered

So that's why I'm running away. I'm not running away by myself either, I have friends. One of which should be meeting me anytime now, but while I'm waiting, I'll keep explaining why my friends are running away with me.

My friend, the one who's meeting me right this moment, is a mixed breed, which means a Wottol and a Cameous had a child together. They haven't gotten rid of the two breeds, no idea why, and mixed breeds are aloud. But there's one catch, mixed breeds who are born on a blood moon, are supposedly dangerous. A little witch-crafty, I know, but hey I'm a mage. They are born with extraordinary powers, but no one knows what they are. That usually means the Blood Mix, mixed breeds who are born on a blood moon (if you don't know this then keep up), don't know how to use their powers.

The other friend is named Jaxon, he is a seer. He's running for the same reason I am, because it's too dangerous for us and our families. He actually found an abandoned cabin, so we'll be living there until we find a permanent place to live. Or a permanent plan to live by.

Well, Olivia's coming around the corner now, so I might as well snap out of this fourth wall stuff! It's the authors turn to write, but don't worry, you haven't seen the last of me. Not yet at least.

3rd persons view...

As Olivia turned around the corner of the park, she noticed Claudia was already there. Claudia got on her bike and rode over to Olivia, and tried to make sure she understood the 'plan'.

"So we're going to ride to the cabin, and I'm pretty sure Jaxon's already there, oh no what if someone finds us? Did you make sure your parents aren't tracking you? What if my parents are tracking me? This wasn't a good idea, we should just got back!" Claudia spit out an entire paragraph and started hyperventilating. Olivia being the type of friend she is, starts to help Claudia breath.

"Everything will be fine, I know this is a dangerous game we're playing right now, but I don't think we have a choice. We should get going before anyone sees us." Olivia reassured her friend.

"You're right, lets go." The young mage replied. They hopped back onto their bikes and rode over to the sidewalk, and started heading towards the cabin. In the meanwhile, they decided to talk.

"So, where's Jay?" Olivia asked, Jay was Claudia's brother.

"You know that he's not an Otherworlder, I was switched at birth, remember?" Claudia replied to her blonde friend. It was true, Claudia had a mother who was also a mage, but in order to save her daughter, she paid off the doctor to make it seem like Claudia's adoptive mother had twins. The group made a rule to not involve their families unless they're Otherworlder as well.

"Oh right." Olivia said sympathetically.

"What about your siblings? Or your parents?" Claudia shot the question right back to her friend.

"Well, they don't know I'm a hybrid. Much less a Blood Mix." Olivia said a matter-of-factly.

"But how do they not know? I mean it's not like you're keeping it from them. Are you?" Claudia asked.

"Actually I am, you do know that my dad's not a Wottol, right? Both of my parents are Cameous." She said.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Claudia said oblivious.

"Ugh, do I have to spell it out for you? Here, imagine Cameous are Irish, and Wottols are Scottish. What happens if both of the parents are Irish, but the child turns out to be Scottish?" Olivia explained, quite bluntly in fact.

"Oh... sorry about that, it must be hard having to keep a whole half of yourself away from your parents." Claudia said with empathy, she knew what it was like to hide something from her parents. Even though they weren't actually related, she loved her mother and father like real parents.

"It's fine, what about Jaxon, I don't even know why he's coming with us. And I'm pretty sure he isn't bringing his family!" Olivia said, questioning Jaxon's relationship with his parents.

"Well for one, he's coming because he's a seer, which you probably forgot since you practically hate him-" Claudia cut her off.

"I don't hate him! I just, I think he's a huge flirt which is kind of annoying." Olivia said defending herself.

"Are you done? Anyways, he's not bringing his family because he's adopted, so they don't know about his powers." Claudia said, a bit peeved that Olivia interrupted her.

"Oh, you and him are pretty alike I guess. So, since he's a seer I'm sure he knows about your fat crush on him, huh?" Olivia said embarrassing her blue-eyed friend.

Blushing, Claudia couldn't do anything but reply. "I don't like him! I think. Look, I know I used to have a crush on him, but I'm not good with handling my feelings. I'm sure I just mistook them again." She said pulling out excuses upon excuses.

"Honestly, I don't think you are! I've seen you talk about other boys before, and all of those times you mistook your emotions. This time, every time you talk about him it's just... different." Olivia told her confused friend.

And with that the conversation stopped. They stayed in silence for the rest of the ride to the cabin.

A/N - Hey guys! I hope you liked the first chapter! So turns out Claudia has a crush on Jaxon, I wonder where that's going to go... anyways, turns out the trio has broken families. Who knew. Thanks for reading, I don't know if I'm going to write anytime soon since I'm hanging out with my friends a lot lately, but I'll try my best to update. In the meantime, read this inspirational quote!

"Keep your face to the sunshine, and you won't be able to see a shadow."
