Chapter 12: You Are Sensational

Orleston High
One week later...

  Roy is talking with someone on the phone and he seems really concerned when Hayley and Cameron catch up with him. Once he hangs up, his girlfriend holds his hand and asks him what's wrong to which he exhales a long calming breath and replies, "My parents are coming home from business and they want to meet you. I told them you don't do that stuff but they won't let this go..."

Cameron turns to Hayley and starts laughing as he points out, "Oh you are so screwed...Hey can I come to that dinner too? Pretty please-" but before the boy can conclude, he spots Anastasia walking towards them and every single one of the high schoolers stop to take a look at her. Hayley, Roy and especially Cameron are left speechless as the young girl has ditched her usual look completely with her new purple-blueish long hair and her matching cropped t-shirt that showcases her pierced belly, followed by the tight short skirt and her high boots. Her entire look reminds something that came out of an avant garde piece of art.

"Hey guys...what is it?" the young girl stands in front of her friends and realizes that her new look has caught their attention. Hayley gives her an accepting smile and a thumbs up while Roy nods his head, very impressed with his friend while Cameron is literally still not ble to say something. "Wow...I mean huh, intresting look, anything you want to share?" the boy finally says something and Anastasia admits that she felt like all this Wayne drama made her realize that it's time for her to grow up and be who she wants to be instead of a Diana 2.O...

   "Besides I always had a thing for arts more than shaking my ass for Orleston Tigers not that I'm quitting cheerleading of course!" Anastasia concludes and the four of them walks down the halls, slowly coming closer to what it seems to be their own circle of friends.

Teacher's lounge.
An hour later...

    Olivia is looking at some recent tests and tries to keep herself awake while Sean is debating if he should send George a message or not when Julian visits them. "Surprise my friends, do you want a donut?" the young man asks and Olivia grabs one since she didn't eat anything before she came to school. "Earth to Sean? Hey!" the young woman grabs the phone from her friend's hands and says to him, "No, messages are for people who don't have the courage to say what they want in person...you want to talk with your husband, you go there and you get real with him."

  Sean sighs and reminds her that his husband seems like he doesn't need him. "I know it seems stupid to you guys but I feel like we are really over..." Sean explains to both Julian and Olivia before he gets up and walks towards the stadium. The other two are left speechless since they never expected Sean and George to be over. "You won't expect that but I don't want them to break up...I remember George at our dorm room, thinking about their future together all day long." Julian points out and looks at Olivia who sighs.

  As she lays on Julian's shoulder, she tells to him, "Julian, about last night..."

  "It's like it never happened, don't worry." Julian assures her about a secret between the two of them and hold hands.

   One hour later.
Stadium's bleachers.

  "Wait, so Hayley is being forced to a meet the parents review by your parents and you couldn't save yourselves from that abomination?" Anastasia catches up with the new of the day and Roy rolls his eyes while Hayley tries to be more optimistic about this, "I'm sure it will be fine, besides it's one dinner, I think we should relax..." the young girl says to the other and Roy, happy that his girlfriend sees things that way tries to kiss her but she grabs his lips and looks in his eyes very carefully, "Touch me until the dinner and I will make sure that you won't live to see another day!" Hayley adds while Cameron and Anastasia try to hold their laughs...

   "Let's change the subject...Hey Cam, don't you feel like coach Tucker is a little bit off lately?" Roy asks his teammate and Cameron agrees.

  "Yeah, he seems very distracted lately, like he doesn't even care about the team..." Cameron adds and Anastasia slaps them both in the head, "Ugh!" both boys say.

  "He is having a rough couple of weeks, be more understanding you guys...how would you react if your personal life was a shit show?" the young girl tries to defend Sean and makes sure that at least her friends know how bad the situation is and how they can't just be worked at the moment. "When you put it like that, you are not wrong..."

  Later that day.
Olivia's apartment...

  George is sleeping when someone rings the bell and since he is now staying at his best friend, he has to answer. He walks towards the door and opens it and Noah comes inside. "Um good morning?" George says and wonders what he is doing here.

  "Is Olivia here? I thought that maybe I can come by and ask her to go for a coffee..." Noah explains the reason behind his unexpected arrival and George informs him that she is not around currently. "I think that she left cause I heard the door earlier...let me call her!" George says and grabs his phone to call his friend only to hear her and Olivia's phone rings from somewhere inside the apartment. Then before the boys can say something, Sean walks inside, "Hey, you forgot some of your stuff...Noah?" the young man says until he notices his best friend there.

  "I have to find Liv's phone, can you guys wait here for a second?" George says and heads to his friend's bedroom, opens the door and finds the unexpected, happening in front of his eyes. "AHH!" he screams as he finds Olivia and Julian, completely naked, having sex and the boy instantly closes the door. Noah and Sean worry and head closer to him and Noah asks if he found Olivia's phone.

  "Yeah, um...she is not here, she is at school, test thing work." the young man tries to cover his friend and makes eye contact with Sean. His estranged husband realizes that it's time for teamwork and tells Noah to go for a beer and catch up. "Yeah, I need to open up to someone about things..." Sean grabs Noah's wheelchair and along with his friend heads outside. George closes the door and turns to his friends who walk outside the bedroom, "I'm going to make myself some tea because this needs to be discussed and please give your sex buddy his pants!"

   Orleston streets.
In the meantime...

   "It's common knowledge that meet the parents is probably the worst day of your life unless you count your wedding day of course, which makes Hayley very lucky that I decided to be her friend!" Anastasia explains to Cameron as they walk back home with their smoothies. The young girl's phone keeps buzzing and Cameron asks her why isn't she responded to the incoming messages. "Is it about that Wayne again? I don't understand really..." Cameron tries to get some answers from her.
 
  She sighs and bites her lower lip as she frowns. "He believes that we should give it another try and I like him, I really do..." she points out and then pauses.

  "I feel like there is a but somewhere." the quarterback says and drinks his smoothie.

"But as time went by, I realized that I like me more and I have to find who I am before I commit to anything like that..." Anastasia opens up and smiles at her friend, knowing that what she says to him, it's confidential. "I'm happy that you are putting your mental health first...it's really important." Cameron adds and they keep walking towards their homes, talking about every single thing that comes to their minds.
