Living in close contact with [First Name] sucked. It really sucked, and it had only been a week so far. She was vulnerable, extremely vulnerable, Norman could tell, but her vulnerability comes out in inconveniencing others, for some reason. Not crying, not anger, not tantrums— making other people annoyed. Really, he couldn't say he was surprised, and her bullying him was irritating, but honestly? Norman kind of thought she was funny.

Not like he'd ever admit it.

As much as she hated him, she wasn't completely cruel. It was always just bullying him, or making fun of him. She had some pretty good insults— honestly, it kind of hurts his feelings sometimes.

Sometimes, though, Norman sees some things he knows he's not supposed to see. The way she reacts to Peter's voice over the intercom, the way she thrashes around in her sleep, waking up looking for Mama.

He disregarded it, for the most part— it wasn't any of his business. They didn't get along, and they didn't want to get along.

What he didn't disregard, though, was her odd daily routine. She would wake up earlier than him, leave the room until he woke up, eat breakfast, take medicine, leave the room with Elizabeth, have free time, eat lunch, leave the room, have free time, eat dinner, medicine, sleep.*

At this point, Norman was practically craving to know what was going on behind the scenes. He needed to ask her, he just didn't know how— he was not in the mood to face an angry [First Name] if he accidentally pissed her off.

Sometimes, he wonders what actually goes on in her head.

"No, you fucking idiot, that's not how you play!" [First Name] slapped Norman's hand away from the card pile, making him glare at her. Her hair was tied into two tight braids across the top of her head, and she had a scowl on her face. "You don't grab a card, stupid!"

"Well, I'm sorry for not listening to the instructions when you bullied me throughout the explanation!"

Staring at him incredulously, [First Name] set the cards down on the mattress before folding her hands in her lap. "You're lucky I don't smack the shit out of your big ass forehead right now. I could play tic-tac-toe on your goddamn head, you mosquito."

"At least I don't have an emotional attachment to a deck of Uno cards—" Norman was interrupted by being pushed off the mattress, resulting in a loud beeping noise and a man coming over the intercom.

"[First Name], quit harassing Norman. Norman, quit provoking [First Name]." The doctor's stern voice made [First Name] groan, flopping back onto the mattress.

"Okay, okay, we get it. Get up and listen to the instructions this time." She yanked him by his arm when he started climbing the mini-ladder, shuffling the cards. "Alright, here..."

"I win." [First Name] snickered, pulling all the cards into the main deck when she was shoved over. "Oh, so that's how you wanna—" She was interrupted by the door clicking open, Elizabeth standing in the doorway.

"Injections, [First Name]." She stared at the two of them in amusement, the both of them looking annoyed. "You two really don't like each other, do you?"
