12. Scary gang

Jeongguk stopped caring about Taehyung's possession. It was clear as a crystal that Taehyung knew what was going on and wasn't telling Jeongguk about it. 

Thus, on Thursday, when Taehyung began to pace around with his eyes flickering gold every few seconds, Jeongguk didn't bother to ask him if he was fine. He didn't bother to ask him about his beard. He didn't bother to ask him why his hands suddenly became extra hairy or why his ears were looking weird and out of place. 

He just looked down at his phone with a bored expression and waited for his girlfriend to arrive. 

Before Dahyun could arrive, just like the last time, Jimin and Jeongyeon knocked on the door and took Taehyung with them. This time, neither was it dark outside, nor was Jimin as agitated as he was the previous time. 

Once Taehyung left, Jeongguk flopped down on his bed and closed his eyes. No matter how much he tried to pretend like he didn't care, the whole secret business was really hurting him. 

He huffed heavily and comforted himself by the fact that Namjoon promised him that he could come to the party after a few months. 

He had spent almost two hours each day with Namjoon ever since the day the latter had helped him with his subject. He really loved the way Namjoon explained things and thus ended up spending more time with him everyday. 

He began to adore him. He began to admire his intelligence and the suave manner in which he carried himself. He was starting to look up to him in ways more than one. 

"Jeonggukie...?" Dahyun called out from outside and rapped on the door gently. "Yeah, coming!!" Jeongguk grunted and jumped out of the bed. 

With one giant leap, he reached the door and threw it open with a huge smile. Dahyun grinned back at him and jumped into his arms. 

"I missed you" Jeongguk said and pecked her lips. "You saw me yesterday" Dahyun chuckled, "but I missed you too" she said and connected their lips. 

Jeongguk squeezed her ass and she took it as her cue to jump onto him. With their mouths still connected, Jeongguk carried her to his bed and sat down with her straddling him on his lap. 

Dahyun swiftly threw her small bag away and went back to kissing the shit out of her boyfriend. Things soon got heated and Dahyun ended up losing her virginity to him. 

As the two of them lay on their back with their eyes on the ceiling and their naked bodies pressed close to each other, Jeongguk thought about how much he liked his girlfriend even though it had just been three weeks since he met her. 

Sure, he had had a few girlfriends in the past and had had a few flings with the girls that Taehyung had brought home from Minjae's club, but none of them made him feel this way. It was as if she was made for him and him alone. 

"Did you hear that Jihyo Eonnie broke up with Taehyung oppa?" Dahyun asked, breaking the comfortable silence around them. 

"Hmm, yeah, I did. Hyung told me last night. He didn't tell me the reason, though" Jeongguk said. 

"Really?" Dahyun asked and turned to her side to face Jeongguk. Jeongguk did the same and wrapped his arms around her. "Hmm, really. Did she tell you the reason?" he asked. 

"She told me that she felt the relationship was becoming toxic" Dahyun said.

Jeongguk's eyes widened. "Toxic?!" he exclaimed. "Yeah. She said she keeps feeling scared of him for no reason. She literally used the word 'dread', you know?" Dahyun said. 

"Woah, what?!" 

"Yupp. She said it wasn't healthy to be in a relationship when one of them was terrified of the other" Dahyun said. 

"Ohh?" Jeongguk frowned really hard. He couldn't imagine Taehyung doing anything to scare the poor girl that much unless he got possessed in front of her. 

"Did he act weird or too angry or something?" he asked. 

"No, and that's the weird thing. She said he's always been very sweet to her. He didn't do anything to terrify her, but she just feels terrified to be around him" Dahyun said. 

"Hmm.....I don't know what to say. Did she tell hyung about it before breaking up with him?" Jeongguk asked. 

"Yupp. She did. But apparently hyung didn't look too surprised. She said he looked like he was expecting her to say that sooner or later" Dahyun said. 

"Now that's weird" Jeongguk said and tightened his grip around her. 

"I know, right?" she said and snuggled deeper into him. 

"You don't feel scared of me, do you?" Jeongguk suddenly asked after a while. "Of course not" Dahyun said. "Good" Jeongguk said. 

"But I do find your friends really scary. I mean, a few of them aren't that scary, but a lot of seniors warned me and my friends to stay away from your gang" Dahyun said. 

"Is it? Why so?" Jeongguk asked. "I don't know. Everyone says the same thing. 'The Psychs are too scary. It's better if you stay away from them' " Dahyun quoted a few of her seniors. 

"Hmm.....interesting. But you don't find all of us scary, right?" Jeongguk asked. 

"Yupp. That handsome opp-"

"Everyone is handsome" Jeongguk pointed out. 

"I mean the really handsome one. Your leader's boyfriend, I guess" Dahyun described. 

"Ahh, Seokjin hyung?"

"I don't know their names"

"Ohh, okay, continue" 

"Yeah, so that handsome oppa, the bright oppa and Jeongyeonie aren't scary when they are alone. But the rest are too scary, I don't know why" Dahyun said. 

"Hmm.....they are all nice people, though" Jeongguk said. 

"I know" Dahyun said and played with Jeongguk's nipple. 

"I am turning eighteen next week on Tuesday. Hyungs are planning a party at Jimin hyung's house and surprisingly, I'm invited to it too. You wanna come as well?" Jeongguk asked after a while. 

"Yeah, sure" Dahyun chuckled at her boyfriend's ridicule. 

She knew all about how Jeongguk's friends never invited him to the party that Jeongguk's best friend was invited to. She knew how bad her boyfriend felt about it. And thus, the fact that Jeongguk ridiculed the fact that he was invited to his own birthday party really tickled her. 

"Oh, I've been wanting to ask this" she said.

"Uhuh?" 

"Why does Jimin oppa live in the dorms when his house is so close to the campus?" she asked. 

"I don't exactly know the reason. Something about wanting to live along with his friends, I guess. I remember him saying something along those lines. Oh, and he can be free with Jeongyeon here in the dorms. In his house, he will have to be a bit hesitant, right?" Jeongguk explained. 

"True. They are really lucky to be roomed together" Dahyun said. 

"I know, right? They are really lucky" Jeongguk agreed. 

They spent the next few minutes in silence. Jeongguk wished he got to room with his girlfriend as well. He couldn't help but think how fun it would be to stay with her all the time. 

"Do you think we can change our rooms now?" he asked after a while. 

Upon receiving silence from his girlfriend, he looked down and realized that she had fallen asleep against his chest. 

He smiled at her fondly and gently pressed his lips to her forehead. "Sleep well, baby" he whispered and closed his own eyes.
