She was married to a sailor who sails on the ocean most of the days in a year.
The sailor was sad that when he was away he would miss her and was very unhappy of the separation.
The lady said to him that, as long as the light up there is lit, her heart will always be his and from then on; whenever he was away at sea he just looked back, he could see the light and he knew that his true love still cares.
The lady used to keep the lighthouse awake all the time, because she knows that somewhere her love will be looking for her.
