"𝐘/𝐍! 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓'𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆?" Bakugou gripped the girls shoulders, pulling her away from him. She winced, her smile fading. "They did it. They destroyed my link." She muttered.
"What does that mean?!" Bakugou's brows furrowed, staring at the girl in pain in front of him. "That statue was the only thing keeping me in the human world." Y/N lifted her head, smiling weakly.
"Sorry I broke my promise."
"What! No! You said you would stay!" Bakugou's eyes widened, his grip growing tighter. "Please! You're not leaving!" His eyes glazed over, his teeth clenching.
Y/N phased through his grasp, falling to the floor. "Agh!" She groaned in pain, her smile completely vanishing. "K-Katsuki." She whimpered, tears falling from her eyes. "I-I'm scared."
Bakugou froze, the reality of the situation hitting him.
He was about to lose Y/N
forever
The blonde dropped to the floor, his hands shaking. "It's fine, It'll all be fine. Don't be scared, you're not going anywhere." He assured.
He reached for her hand, his fingers slipping through hers. "I-I can't touch you..." He murmured to himself, a tear escaping his eye. Suddenly the ghost's hand began to vanish, along with the lower half of her body.
"No...DAMNIT NO!" Bakugou pounded his fist on the ground. He turned to face Y/N, their eyes meeting. She managed a small smile, her eyes captivating him like always.
"Y/N-"
"Katsuki, don't say it. I don't want to hurt you." She sighed, her legs now gone. "I'm sorry I broke our promise but we can make a new one." She suggested. Bakugou stood still waiting for her proposal.
"How about we both promise to be happy." She muttered, wincing. Bakugou shook his head, "How can I-"
"Pinky Promise?"
"I-....okay. I promise."
Y/N smiled, "Great! I was worried you would be stubborn." She let out a light chuckle, a wince following. She sighed, staring to the ceiling. "Katsuki...I love-" The ghost was cut off.
And then...
silence filled the room.
Bakugou sat back, his face blank. He stared to the spot where Y/N once laid, not even a trace of her left. Sighing, a lopsided smile made it's way to his face as tears poured down.
"See Y/n, I'm keeping my promise." He whispered, his voice cracking. "I...love you. I hope your happy too."
And just as fast as she appeared she was now gone.
