few weeks passed by, and renjun saw how jaemin and jeno were getting distant now and then. it was weird, since they loved each other dearly, he couldn't tell why they were distancing.

at recess, renjun decided to ask hyuck about this mess. renjun couldn't find jeno or jaemin but he found hyuck at the bench and sat down next to him.

"hey hyuck, why are jeno and jaemin distancing?" 

"oh, the reason was that jaemin was annoying jeno so much, and jeno yelled at jaemin, then blah blah, jaemin had tears and jeno walked out of the house in annoyance. jaemin was also keeping lots of secrets from him and he got mad also." hyuck said.

"how do you know this?"

"jeno ranted at me and he told me to facetime at 2:30 am about this." hyuck said.

they had little conversations, and then, it was time for afternoon classes. renjun tried to find jeno since his next class was with him, but he couldn't find him anywhere. he went inside and saw jeno drawing in his sketchbook. he went closely, not letting jeno know, and saw him sketching 2 men. he couldn't decipher who it was because the teacher came so quick. 

the teacher, mr. sicheng, banged the ruler on the desk to gain everyone's attention.

"okay, since the term is almost ending, there is a term project along with it!"

everyone groaned at the thought of pairing up with random people (and the project).

"this time, i will allow you to pair up with anybody you like!!"

everyone screamed and shouted.

"okay okay, now go to your selected partner and i will put up the list on the board for you and your partner to choose from."

renjun wanted to partner up with jeno, but when he motioned towards jeno, a girl came in front of him.

"jeno oppa, can we work together?"

jeno noticed renjun but still accepted to work with the girl. his heart broke a little. renjun went back to his seat and searched for a partner, but everyone paired up. guess he has to work alone then. class ended and renjun dashed out of the room as soon as possible, to break down in a stall.

"why doesn't he want to work with me?"

"what did i do?"

someone must have heard renjun crying because the guy motioned towards the stall and knocked on it.

"renjun?"

he stopped and automatically knew who was calling him. 

"j-jaemin?" he opened the door to see jaemin with a sad smile on his face. renjun automatically opened his arms and hugged him like he's the whole universe.

"why are you crying renjunnie?" oh how the way that nickname comes out of his mouth makes renjun flutter.

"j-jeno didn't p-pick me for the project." 

"you're crying over that?" he questioned renjun.

"and because i couldn't hang out with you guys for some time," renjun sadly smiled.

"you know what, just for you, we can go to that same cafe, hmm?"

"just for me?" renjun said.

"just for you" he smiled. "let's text jeno."

nono, me and renjun are going to the café do u want to go??

no, i have to go somewhere u guys can go

jaemin looked up from his phone, "he can't go with us injunnie" he sadly smiled. why is he avoiding renjun and jaemin? "why is he avoiding us?" renjun asked. "i don't know injunnie, let him clear out and we can go talk to him in a bit." they both went into the café, laughing things out, but they both know, they wanted jeno so badly to be with them. it just wasn't the same.
