Chapter 8

Junko

I was up before the sun was up, I left the warm bed and went home. I had a shower and changed into some ripped jeans with a T-shirt. By the time I was done, Widow was coming out of her room. She gave me a nod before heading out the door for her morning workout.

After I poured my coffee I heard someone knock on the front door, I reached around my back as I made my way to the front door. The sun was coming up and Widow had left just 30 minutes before. The others weren't even up yet.

I looked through the peephole and saw one of Blu's brothers standing outside. When I opened the door I held my gun by my side. "You've got some nerve coming here. What do you want?" I asked him as I glared.

"You know my sister?" He asked fidgeting.

"I do."

"Then you'll know that we haven't seen each other in 15 years."

"I do. What is this about?" I asked him as I watched him make his way over to the chair on the porch.

"Ever since our father went to prison for the murder of our mother, he has never been the same. When we all went into the system, I promised myself that I would find my brother and sister. Little did I know I would be in the same prison as my brother Zane. When our father got out he got into drugs and wanted to start selling with us."

"So you all turned to the Jade Brotherhood?" I asked him, he nodded his head and I sighed.

"He knew that if he couldn't pay back Bi then they would take Holly,'' he said, running his hands through his hair.

"You do realize that they may have hurt her?" I asked him and again he nodded his head.

"The drugs and sitting in a cell for 15 years had fucked him up."

"That's no fucking excuse." I snapped at him. "You're nothing but trash in my eyes, so why the hell are you here?"

"I want to find my sister. I want to be in her life."

"I doubt she'll wanna know you after all of this," I said to him, I watched him sigh and nod his head. "You owe him a million dollars. How the hell are you going to get that?"

"I don't know..."

"You better start knowing because if she dies because of you, I'm coming after you and your family" I warned him. I saw him swallow hard. I wasn't joking and I think he knew that.

I saw Widow come running over, she had just finished her run. She glared at the guy before turning to me and lifting an eyebrow. "He was just leaving," I said. He jumped up and started walking towards us. "Remember what I said," I warned him again before he nodded his head and quickly ran past us.

"How the hell did he know where we live?" Widow asked me as we watched him run out of sight.

"I have no idea but I don't like how I'm feeling about them," I said, I looked at her and she nodded her head.

"I'll tell the girls," she said before walking inside the house. I took a minute to calm my nerves down, speaking with Blu's brother made me so angry. They knew about the consequences and they still let it happen. I growled under my breath and pushed off the porch railing before walking inside.

Third-person POV

Blu sat in the far corner of the cell, beaten and bloody. All she remembered was doing some research on her father when her door was kicked in by masked men. She couldn't understand what they were saying because they spoke in Chinese but they grabbed her. When she finally came too, she was in this very cell.

They wanted information about her father, information she didn't know. Blu hadn't seen her family in over 15 years. She knew that her father didn't kill her mother but when she last saw him was getting pushed into the back of the police car. A few days later she was ripped from her brother's arms and put into a foster home.

Blu has tried to keep up to date with them, trying to get in touch with them but they never got back to her. Blu had done some research and found out that they all had been let out and gotten into bad things. Selling drugs.

Now sitting in a dirty cell, barely able to see out of her right eye. She wondered why she was being targeted. Did she hack into the wrong thing? Or was it because of her family?

Keeping her head down when she heard the cell door open, someone had walked slowly inside before he started speaking. "It has come to my attention that you are a very important person," he said. When Blu first laid eyes on the man who had taken her hostage, she knew him immediately. Bi Zhang Wei. The leader of the Jade Brotherhood cartel. A very powerful man.

"Are you ready to speak now? Or do my men have to beat it out of you again?" He asked her. Blu knew to keep her mouth shut even if she didn't know anything. "Very well then," Bi said before turning away from her and walking out of the cell. He looked towards his men and nodded his head before leaving the basement.

Bi Zhang Wei's men grabbed Blu and carried her off, with no emotion she was placed into a chair and tied up before they beat her for information. They asked about her father, her brothers and even about her gang but when they asked about her mother, her eyes snapped up to Bi Zhang Wei's right-hand man. Lu Wang. She saw him smirk, he knew he touched a nerve. Blu watched as he stepped towards her and leaned over.

"Where's your mother?" He asked her but he closed his eyes when she spat in his eyes. He stood up straight and reached into his pocket for a cloth before slamming his fist into her jaw, knocking her out cold.
