~Chapter 3~

We jump apart as we hear someone clear their throat "Ahem, as much as Faith and I liked the show" Faith says, "And how much our brother is better than that bitch, we want to sit" Beryl finishes. I chuckled as Agnus groaned. "Well, what are you waiting for?" I say pointing to the space between Agnus and I. They share a look before sitting next to me, forcing me to sit practically on top of Agnus. "Seriously, guys!?" I pout.

"You weren't complaining a couple seconds ago" the girls said at the same time. Agnus chuckles before whispering into my ear "I'm certainly not complaining." I suppressed a shudder before leaning into him as he wrapped his arm around my waist. Agnus and I see a flash from Faith and Beryl's phones before we hear them giggling and whispering to each other. Shocked and embarrassed, I blush and Agnus giggled. 'Oh my god, he just giggled! How could one's giggle be so hot?!' I thought to myself. Before I could back out I whispered low enough for him to hear "your giggle is cute." He takes his free hand and places it on my upper thigh as he whispers back in my ear "yet, you're the one who is hot while doing practically anything." I giggle then whisper back "nowhere as hot as you."

I lean in close enough for our lips to be touching before addressing everyone "I should be going before my uncles find out I left." I then get up to start walking when Agnus says "You tease!" I giggled as he stood while grabbing my arm, pulling me in for another breathtaking kiss. Before it could get any further, I reluctantly pulled away saying goodnight with one last stolen kiss, before I made my way back home. 'God, I'll never get tired of those lips' I thought as soon as I climbed back into my room and made it to my bed, I'm fast asleep.

**********Le Time Skip************

Beep. Beep. Beep. "SHIT!!" I rush to throw on my shoes as I am still in the same outfit as last night. I walk downstairs right as Uncle Jake yells "Hurry up Dwayne, I gotta take you to school and meet up with Marcus." I brush my fingers through my hair. Since I couldn't get a shower my hair will be curly. I have medium length icy blonde hair that is really curly if I don't wash and brush it.

I make it to school on time with a minute to spare before the bell goes off. "What the hell took you so long dude?" Connor asks once I get to my locker. "Overslept." All of a sudden Faith and Beryl start laughing. "Ok, guys, I know my hair isn't the best but I didn't have time to brush it!" I pout when I realize what they are laughing about. I looked up when I felt eyes on me, only to lock eyes with Agnus. I hear him chuckle before winking at me and turning back around. Puzzled, I rush off to class as the bell goes off.

******Lunch Time******

"Wassup!" I ask as soon as I sit at my table. Connor is to my left and the girls are across from us, Faith in front of me and Beryl in front of Connor. "You should definitely start having your hair like that more often, it looks good" Faith says without looking up from what she was writing. "Yeah, it's a good look on you" Connor and Beryl agree. "Fine, fine, but not all the time." I mumble looking at my phone.

Uncle Jake has been keeping me updated on how he is doing with our cousin Marcus. Uncle Martin usually lets me know how he is doing but he hasn't sent me a text yet, which is worrying me. "Yo, Earth to Dwayne!" I look up to see Faith, Beryl, and Connor standing up trying to catch my attention. "I'm here!" I pout as they all start laughing. I get up so we can go outside to talk for the rest of lunch time.

We get outside to see Agnus and his douche of friends standing near where my friends and I usually stay. Rolling our eyes we go over but stay a ways away. I look at my phone, feeling it vibrating to see the police station is calling me. "Ugh, what happened this time?" I ask no one in particular. Connor looks at my phone and tells Faith and Beryl who is calling, as I answer the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hi this is Sheriff Luke Adkins, is this Dwayne Barker?" "Yes, this is him," I say confused. "Ok, I am calling to tell you that someone has broken into your house and has attacked your Uncle Martin."

Before he could say anything else I said "I'm on my way" as I rushed into school to sign myself out. Trying not to panic I hurried only to be stopped before I could completely leave by my friends. "Dway Dway, what's going on?" Beryl asks.

"Someone broke in and attacked Uncle Martin." They look at me with wide eyes and pull me into the nearest bathroom. "Just breathe ok? We will go see if Agnus can give us a ride and we will go with you." Faith said. I nod and turn away going to the sink to put water on my face.

I hear the door shut and Connor says "Do you want me to stay here with you?" I shake my head "no, I will be out in a minute." I see him nod before he goes and leaves the bathroom. I dial Uncle Jake's number right as Zach and Archie come in. "Well, well, well. Look at who we have here." Archie says as he starts stalking towards me. "I don't think I wanna ruin my eyes from looking at a freak." I hear Zach say from behind me. All the sudden I feel a fist colliding with my stomach.

After a few more blows from Zach and Archie, I hear someone come in before they stop hitting me. "Dwayne? Dwayne? Can you hear me?" "Uncle Jake?" I ask. "I'm right here sweetie." A chuckle but it turns into a coughing fit.
