A/N
Welcome to a whole new world of Remnant! Has it changed much? Well... not particularly. It's still the same Remnant that you've come to know, only a few things have changed. (The urge to write this like patch notes is strong.)

The world is slightly expanded, not adding in any more islands but rather the size of each place will be expanded so that there are places that can be added for our heroes to explore. On the topic of the Grimm, their kind has been massively depleted compared to the show. Of course, now they are not as easily defeated (as some are in the show). A normal sized Grimm will now take at least two huntsmen/huntresses in training for it to be considered a fair fight, larger Grimm can take up to an entire party of huntsmen/huntresses in training. Not even our fabled protagonist could take one on themself easily. It should also be mentioned that this AU will not follow the story of the show, but it will take elements from it and try to stay true.

Ah! Speaking of our protagonist, for story reasons they were initially going to be named: "Shio Faithheart". Though, in a moment of uncertainty I found it better for you to play our main protagonist. Yes! You, my dear reader! Of course, regardless of what you decide to rename dear Shio, your last name will continue to be "Faithheart". And, your old team name shall remain GYSR (Geyser). The story will start with you, the reader, accepting a position on the medical staff of the prestigious school, Beacon. After spending many years as a travelling cleric, and many more years as a doctor in one of Vale's numerous hospitals, a familiar face asks that you return to your old home. You enjoy wearing the uniform that you made during your fourth year at Beacon, a white tailcoat with a grey dress shirt and vest underneath. His outfit is complete with white formal pants and grey bullet shoes. He does keep a pair of grey boots for combat situations. [Y/N] Faithheart is a snow fox faunus, instead of being graced with ears he hides his tail within his clothes. He stands at a tall 6'3" and has longer white hair that flows to his shoulder, though he keeps it neat and tied behind his head. Seeing that I've mentioned his occupation already, I should explain just why he decided that line of work. His semblance being the ability to heal others more potently than one's normal aura can. Broken bones? Torn limbs? Yes! Of course, with broken bones it would take longer for the semblance to heal them completely (The semblance will be explained more in depth as more things are revealed throughout the story). As long as a torn limb can be reattached to the body, you will be able to help the body reconnect with its lost ligament. You were never a fan of carrying a weapon with you, and your first few years at Beacon had given you enough freedom to not need one. You were simply your team's support, and tactician when needed. Unfortunately, during your third year at Beacon, Ozpin took the position of Headmaster. Ozpin was the only person at the school who knows what you are; and because of that he decided that you needed to be tested. The test he sent you and your team on did not go well in the slightest, but it was successful in finding you a perfectly suited weapon. You wield a simple scythe, the rod bowed slightly from top to bottom while the blade itself rests at a solid 39 inches. To everyone else, and before Ozpin explained this to you, it looked like an average scythe. Of course, you weren't sent out to find normal things when attending Beacon, everything had a purpose. The scythe has no attack in terms of long range, but it's ability resonates with you and your semblance. One could easily say that you have mastery over your semblance, and you have for a long time. This is precisely why Ozpin wanted you to wield the strange weapon. "Faith's Silver Sickle" is what Ozpin told you it's name was, making fun of your last name as he said it. The power of the scythe resonates with the power of one's semblance, the stronger you are with your semblance the stronger the scythe will be in your hands. Because of how special the scythe seems to be, when equipped the scythe takes the shield of aura from its user. It uses the aura instead as an invisible sheathe, being able to be grabbed from anywhere within arms length of the user. While this puts the user at an extreme downside, because of this ability the scythe has, the rod of the scythe is adjustable. Scaling anywhere from it's full length or just a small handle with the blade at the end. The blade of the scythe can not be kept in the sheathe as long as it is being used.

Now enough about you, can't spoil everything before the story begins.
Beacon Academy is relatively still the same. Outfitted with student dorms, a separate dorm building for teachers and faculty, Ozpin's mighty tower, the classrooms that are equivalent to amphitheaters, cafeteria, the school library, and all the hallways in between. Each amphitheater classroom is connected by a single hallway, which also connects each of the teachers offices. There are recreational places as well, such as an on campus gym and training area, a student run music department, a small garden between the main building, the student dorm, and many other gathering places. The student dorm consists of four floors, the second through fourth floors for student team rooms. The first floor however consists of two different laundromats, two large kitchen areas, and a single gathering area for all the students to relax and enjoy each other's company. The dorm rooms for the students consist of a bed and desk for each member, a small kitchen space off in a corner, a shared closet, and a bathroom. The tightest feeling area in the dorms is the kitchen, though most students shouldn't have a problem using it. The faculty dorms are similar in some ways, as the first floor also consists of a laundromat and a gathering area after a long day. While there are many teachers that teach at Beacon, the teachers that will be mentioned the most for teaching classes will consist of: Glynda Goodwitch, Bartholomew Oobleck, and Peter Port. The second floor of the faculty dorms will be made up of the teachers, while the third floor will be specifically for faculty. For both dorms, students and faculty, there will be flights of stairs at either side of the building. Teacher and faculty dorm rooms will consist of a small living room like space, their own bed and personal desk, a decent sized kitchen with more cabinet space and room to move around, and a bathroom that would make any of the students jealous. There is a small room meant to be a small storage space as well as the closet.

Factions still exist, like the White Fang or even Salem's group. Though Salem's group will still be the main group of antagonists, the White Fang will be an underground society of anti-heroes. Blake will still be a part of this faction, and will still be together with Adam.

With all of that being said, I hope you enjoy the story and all of the misadventures that will occur. If the story title didn't give it away, this story will be pairing you, our fabled reader, and the Goodwitch herself; Glynda. Of course, if this story does well enough and if I decide to write more, each story written in the RWBY universe will most likely be in the same AU as this one. While each story will be different, I'm sure that there will be a reference or two that connects each story within the AU.

Alright, I really need to stop talking. I hope this at least has you intrigued, and please enjoy!
