"Daa daa~ tu taid~ gyahaha!"
"Oh, dada is stupid? Dada is stupid? You are stupid, you stupid stupid baby! Come here!"
"Gyahahahaha! Nouuuu! GAPAAA!!! GAPA! DADA TUTAID! SHAAAB AAATH!!"
Weir laughed and crouched to pick the little cackling monster in his arms and save him from his dada's clutches who wanted to catch and tickle him. "Ou, dada, do not annoy my baby!" he fake glared at Beam before looking down at his grandson. "I scolded dada, was that enough?"
"Eumph... neoo" Arthit pouted. "Makk makk dada!"
"Oh, I should smack him! Hmm..." Weir nodded, giving Beam an amused look who just laughed at their interaction.
"Come here you, it's time for a bath" Beam said reached to take the baby who shrieked like an injured kitten and clung to Weir.
"Gappa!" he complained with a pout and Weir laughed out.
"Oh, but Oon has to be presentable now, doesn't he? Your momma is coming! What would she say if Oon is dirty? This stupid dada of yours would say he is the most handsome in the house" Weir said in a dramatic tone and Oon gasped, throwing Beam a cute little glare.
"Dada tu taid! Bawth!" he ordered and extended his arms for Beam to carry him. Beam laughed and took the baby in his arms.
"Let's go Khun Handsome Vongviphan, let's give you a bath" He said as he started to walk inside the house when his father called him.
He turned around to give Weir a questioning look. "Yes, papa?"
"I... got an audience with Khun Intochar today" Weir said with his eyes searching his son's face who had his eyes widened with excitement to hear news of his best friend as well as they dimmed with sadness. It had been four months.
Four long months that he'd spent without Kit and Mai.
Past six months had been very trying for the young doctor. Not having Emma by his side to share his everyday routine with as they both laid on the cool grass and gazed at stars. Not hearing Rome's instruments playing in the house all the time. Not being able to have Kao lay down in his lap as they both roasted this unfair world and anything and everything with their sharp tongues. Six months since all this house of his had were talks of marriage and Khun Luangs.
And now, four months since those talks died, along with the laughter from their house and his long walks allong the stream with his siblings. They had always laughed. No matter they had enough pork to feed everyone or enough milk to drink for all the kids but they had always laughed.
But now, not only all the happiness left the place, it took his two best friends, his beloved sister along with it who went away in search for either her love or some comfort in big city distractions and his Kitty, who married Khun Mingkwan and didn't even fullfill the promise they made to be each other's best man since Kit didn't even bother to invite him. Now, the only thing left behind was the quietness that was only soothed by Arthit's cackles and a sort of resentment in the air.
The resentment his mother had towards him for losing Khun Mingkwan to a plain person like Kit with no skill or beauty and also losing the chance to own their house.
The resentment he had towards his mother for what she'd done to his once happy family.
The resentment with which Kit had left even when Beam didn't even do anything to earn his anger.
The resentment he'd felt for the very first time towards one of his siblings when Wayo mocked him for the embarrassing proposal he'd received and when he gave away his happy spot to Kongthanin just because the man was handsome and flirtatious. Even more resentment when he got to taste the reason why Kao had been so bitter and aloof these past three years! His mother and Wayo who'd cause that!
