Maya pov

They say 'Be kind, life is a mirror', it always reflects the decisions taken by you and the regret of not taking the right decision is the heaviest. And one thing I can tell you for sure is that it's not a lie.

Sitting on the bed of this beautiful, luxurious yet lonely room; I sigh thinking about all those choices I could have taken differently and all those places I could have been right now. But here I am in a lonely hotel room with a swollen face and multiple bruises.

Getting up from the bed, I make my way to the huge window overlooking the crowded population of London, laughing and smiling envying their day. I started gathering my stuff and getting ready to check out, when my phone rang.

"hello" I said in a dull voice knowing he won't care.

"Think again before doing anything, because you are not coming back to my house. And what is the issue you have everything a wife can want; money, cars, a luxurious house, worker servants and just name it. You wore the best anyone can have; you ate the best anyone can wish. What is your problem? How can you complain? Whereas he should be the one complaining; he gave you everything and here you are like an ungrateful spoiled brat asking for a divorce." He spoke.

"Are you hearing yourself father? That person beat your daughter and she was admitted to the hospital, I had so many fractures and concussions. And you are supporting him. How could you? And before you even think to say anything I am not coming to your place. I don't even need a penny from your filthy money." And I hung up the phone.

Tears rolled down my face, thinking about all that happened to me. No Maya, this is not the time to have your pity party you need to catch your flight back to India and start a new life.

I gathered all my stuff, checked my bag to make sure I had all my things, passport phone, wallet, my tickets, and my keys....

Once done, I checked out; hailed a cab to the airport.

Here I come to India, a new beginning, a new chance, a new life, a new Maya.
