chapter 5: Jeff and Ben

(Jack's p.o.v.)
My alarm clock went off and i groaned. I turned it off and got up. I walked down the hall and heard the shower going. I smiled and went downstairs. I sat on the couch and turned on the tv, watching the news. It showed (y/n's) house and her grieving parents and step brother. I sighed and heard her walk down the stairs. I turned to her.
" Hey I got you a-!"
She stood there, her hair dripping wet as one of my hoodies barely went passed her thighs. I felt my heartbeat quicken and my mind go foggy. Blush consumed my face and i couldn't look away.
" Jack?"
I blinked and shook my head.
" I-I was able to get you some food and a little bit of clothes."
She nodded and i heard her say a soft thank you before going into the kitchen. I tried to pull myself together as my phone rings.
" Hello?"
" Great job jack!" Slender's proud voice said. " I saw the news! I knew you could-!"
" Shut up and leave me alone."
I hung up and sighed.
" Jack?"
(Y/N) walks over to me, two sandwiches in her hand.
" You okay?"
" Yeah. Just annoyed."
She sat beside me and handed me a sandwich.
" Thanks but I can only really eat....organs so."
" Oh, sorry."
" Nah, it's fine."
She ate her breakfast as some rain rolled in. She finished her breakfast then went outside on the porch. I got up and followed after her.
" (y/n) it's not safe out-!"
" Look!"
I looked up and saw the faintest sight of a rainbow. I looked back at her and saw her smiling at me. Blush went across my cheeks as a let out a nervous cough.
" Come on, its not safe for you out here."
She nodded and we went back inside. The day passed and we actually had fun. I didn't have many video games, but what we did have we played. She hugged me suddenly, making me jump.
" Surprise hug attack!"
I blushed darkly and hugged back. We stayed like that for a minute then there was a knock. We both tensed.
" Yo jack, you in there?" Jeff called out.
I picked up (y/n) and rushed upstairs. I sat her down in my closet.
" Stay here okay."
She nodded and i closed the door. I went downstairs and opened the door.
" What are you guys doing here?"
" Chill bro. Just wanted to visit."
Jeff and ben walked in, flopping on the couch.
" Bro, did you set us up your game?" Ben smiled, seeing the two player game me and (y/n) were playing.
" Y-Yeah...how long you guys stayin?"
" Eh...a couple days."
I tensed. " Oh yeah....great...."
" Jack you okay?"
I nodded. " Yeah, I'm fine."
They looked at me with unconvinced faces.
" Is it slender? We know he called you."
I flinched at his name and tried not to growl.
" Bro, come on-!"
" If you're gonna tell me to forgive him then get out!"
Ben put up his hands.
" Woah man. Calm down."
" We're not saying that, what he did to you was fucked, but he does have a point. We don't know what kind of humans we can trust."
There was a creek and we looked up at the stairs and i froze. (Y/N) stood there, having heard everything. Tears build in her eyes as she stared at me.
" Jack...what did he do?" Her soft voice asked.
" (y/n)!"
Jeff rushed at her. I grabbed his hand and i flung him into the counter. He hit his side and fell to the side. I rushed towards her and wrapped my arms around her.
" GET THE HELL OUT!!!" I roared.
Jeff and Ben looked at me shocked.
" Jack, calm down man." Ben said, putting his hands up.
Jeff groaned as he stood.
" Jack, the fuck!? You know we cant-!"
" YOU GUYS TOUCH HER, AND ILL RIP YOUR FUCKING THROATS OUT!!!"
They backed away from us and put their hands up. I felt her arms wrap around me, pulling my face into her shoulder.
" Jack, deep breathes. Okay?"
I nodded and tried to do as told.

(Y/N's p.o.v.)
I turned to the two boys, trying to keep my fear under control.
" So...you're ben and jeff right?"
I put out a hand towards them.
" Im (y/n)."
They hesitated but ben was the first to move. He took my hand and jack watched, letting out a low, quiet growl.
" Hi....how long have you been here?"
" if you want the truth, Just a day so far."
We let go of each other's hand.
" Please, lets all just talk. Thats all I want is to talk."
They nodded slowly and we went downstairs. We all sat down and they looked at me and jack.
" So why are you here?" Jeff asked, his never blinking eyes staring into mine.
I sighed and told them about the deal.
They look at each other and sigh.
" Okay so....Jack....do you really trust her?"
I look up at jack. He nods.
" I do."
" Okay....if shes cool with you, she's cool with us."
" You guys aren't gonna tell slender, are you?"
" The walking toothpick? Hell no." Jeff smirked.
I laughed at that. Jeff held his hand up to me for a high five. I gave him one and he smirked.
" Hell yeah."
We all talked for a while and then they left.
" (y/n) what the hell were you thinking!? They could've killed you."
" I had to take a chance, maybe with enough people on your side, this slender guy might see your point."
" Thats too risky."
" It was risky when I reached out to you. But you listened."
He went quiet then after a moment sighs.
" And what if your plan doesn't work?"
".....I can only hope."
He hugged me tight. " I don't want to loose another friend..."
" And you won't jack. Trust me like I trust you okay?"
He sighed and nodded.
" You're right...you're right."
After a while of calming each other down, we watch some TV and fall asleep on the couch.

(Ben's p.o.v.)
Jeff and I talked in his room, trying avoid slender at all coast.
" Maybe we could stay with them. More of us there to stand guard, less risk."
" Yeah, thats true." Jeff started.
" Hey ben....didnt you see that-!"
" She was wearing his hoodie? Yeah I saw. True she may not have that much clothes there but.....i think E.J. is holding out on us."
Jeff chuckled. " Well, ill start packing. See what we can do about the sleeping arrangements at his hou-!"
The door open and Slender walks in.
" What are you two talking about?"
We froze but jeff was the first to speak.
" We're moving in with E.J. He's all alone down there at his place and the only pasta he doesn't want do there is you."
He starts packing.
" What!? You can't leave!"
" Yes we can. As along as we stay in touch with you and do the missions, we can do it." Jeff turns to me.
" Go back your shit man."
" Okay, im going."
I headed out of the room and backed my things, making sure to grab my laptop and phone. I meant jeff downstairs and we left, despite Slender protesting. When we got back to jacks house. When we got back to Jack's house it was a few hours pass noon. We knocked and we heard them both groan.
" Oi, love birds! How about you let us in huh!?"
The door swung open and an embarrassed, angry jack stood there, holding a tired and half asleep (Y/N).
We both smirked at him and we walked in.
" Tada! We moving in with ya!" I smirked.
Jack closed the door and looked at us, raising an eyebrow.
" What? He just.....let you walk out?"
" We have to keep in contact with him but other than that yeah."
He took seat on the couch, (Y/N) asleep in his lap.
" Jack, you sly dog~. Something you ain't telling us?"
" W-What!?" His dark grey skin lit up red.
I smirked. " Well its just.....(Y/N) is pretty comfy, asleep in your lap and all. And you like holding her, so what are we suppose to assume??"
" G-Guys! Its nothing like that! We're friends."
" Uh-huh. Okay buddy, we got you." Jeff smirked. " Me and ben can keep a secret like this, dont you worry."
" G-Guys! Really its not-!"
" You guys might be friends, but you got some feelings there for her dont you?"
" Would you guys stop?! Youll wake her up."
Jeff and I chuckled and laid back in our seats.
" Okay, man. Whatever you say."
" Punks." Jack mumbled.
(Y/N) shifted and hugged his neck.
" J.....ackie." she mumbled, still asleep.
Jeff and I smirked wider.
" Well, well, well. Shes dreaming about you man." Jeff said, crossing his arms.
" Okay! I'm taking her to her room. Good night!" He said, face reder than a rose.
He stormed up stairs as Jeff and i howled with laughter.
" Were just playin!" I laughed.
The only response we got was the slam of the door.

Its good to have our friend back....plus a new one.
