After a long and dark night of sleep, I was put in charge of waking the men up and having them do 110 push-ups. I was actually excited in a way. It would be fun to make them work and see who would rise up, and be the strongest.
"Rise And Shine Ladies!" I yelled.
Sounds good, I told myself. I was proud. After I got all these tired looks, I told them to start their 110 push-ups.
All the dirty looks I received were appalling, I told them to get used to it, this is just the beginning. All those sighs are heart-broken faces wanted to make me cry. They looked like they had been through the Vietnam War. Of corse they haven't so that quick thought went away."Up and dressed!" I yelled through the housing building
Then completely out of the blue, as I walked outside waiting for my troops to follow me, I saw something fall from the sky. At first I thought it was a bird. Then maybe a plane, but as it got right over our base, it was fully clear. It was a bomb. A huge bomb heading right at us. I couldn't move. I felt stuck and helpless. But then I "woke up", yelled through a bullhorn for everyone to take cover. We probably had about 30 seconds until impact. I said my goodbyes. I prayed, then ran for the bomb shelter.
Hey guys, I know this is a very short chapter, but the next one will be very good. Sorry for the wait, still figuring out how this story will go!
