"It is so often said that eyes would sparkle like stars in the sky. I think I can refute that thesis."It was a cloudy night after a long day. The meeting of the royals had dragged on forever, and even though Raya and Namaari had taken great interest in the further development of their country, their minds had eventually shut down.
Going over their evening meeting already in their minds had been much more exciting.
Now the two of them lay on a hill in the realm of heart and looked into the starry nightsky.
Raya had laid down on her side with one hand on her head and looked at her friend in amazement.
Never had Namaari seemed more beautiful to her.
"Why do you think you can't see stars in your eyes?" the latter now asked, turning her head to one side as well.
Raya smiled as she looked into her friend's beautiful face. "I didn't say that. The point was that they don't sparkle like stars."
"And you refute that?" Namaari raised an eyebrow. "I can see the stars twinkling in your eyes quite well."
Raya's smile widened. "That's right. Because eyes don't sparkle as beautifully as stars. They sparkle more beautifully. At least yours do."
Raya leaned forward and pressed her lips to her friend's. Perplexed, Namaari did not return the kiss.
"What's wrong?" asked Raya, getting lost in Princess Undercut's eyes again. They really glittered more beautifully than the stars themselves.
"That ... was pretty ... cheesy," Namaari brought out, laughing. "But very cute."
She returned the favor with a kiss on Raya's cheek. "Your eyes are very pretty, too."
"But not as beautiful as the stars?" A light breeze came up, making the two princesses shiver.
Namaari stood up and just before Raya could ask what she was going to do, the warrior lowered herself again. This time, however, on top of her friend. "I have yet to find out exactly how beautiful your eyes are. Give me time, eventually I will be able to define it."
Gently she stroked through Raya's hair and with her other hand tried to shift her weight so that it wasn't fully on her friend. She was not only taller, but heavier as well, and even though Raya always acted as if she didn't mind, she knew that in the long run she could become to heavy.
But now Raya didn't seem to care. She freed her legs and wrapped them around her friend's lower body. Then she leaned forward again for a kiss.
"Then I'll give you the night to think about my eyes. And if you don't classify them as at least as beautiful as the stars, I will be offended."
Again Namaari smiled her lovely smile. Despite her harsh appearance, a frail and loving personality hid beneath the cold warrior. Raya was happy that after saving her kingdom, she was finally shown this side as well.
She rested her friend's head on her chest and closed her eyes. "You know what? Actually, I don't care what you think of my eyes. The important thing is that you always stay with me."
Namaari listened devoutly to the beating of her friend's heart, which brought a very different closeness than kissing and holding hands. She had also closed her eyelids. The bet about the stars and the eyes was already forgotten.
The phrase - the important thing is that you always stay with me - echoed in her head.
"I promise you. I won't leave you ever again."
