I sit and watch the world as it goes by.
Callous and empty and charred.
My heart dares to yearn for the sun.
My eyes shed a final tear for what has been.
Life as i knew it is done and the dawn is breaking.
With one foot I tip toe onto the dew covered grass.
An almost imperceptible ache still remains.
An ache that will pass once the wound has healed.
A bond once welded in gold is now broken.
The ring severed and tossed aside.
The scatter remains of a life blow into the wind.
In which direction shall I bend?
Into which current shall I swim?
The tide has turned and I follow what is true.
Life will go on and I will survive.
Without you...
