(11) Jealousy

A week later 

Jules' American Lit class was cancelled. So she made her way over to the history building she saw that Bucky was in the lecture hall. She quietly pulled the door open and slipped in. He motioned for her to come in as he continued to give the lecture in his European history class. 

She sat down at his desk as the boys catcalled and got riled up. 

"Calm down, and no more cat calling her. Now let's get back to the lesson." He said as he turned the page in his notes. 

He continued on with the lecture when he stopped to ask a question. The question was about the Renaissance time period. Nobody knew the answer so Jules' began to explain what Renaissance was. 

"And this is why she's my TA." Bucky said as he went to write on the board. 

"And my favorite study buddy." Nigel said 

Jules made a pouty face and a heart with her hand. The other guys are all heart eyes over her. 

"Beauty and Brains. How do you get any studying done?" One of the other guys said 

Bucky wasn't the only one with jealousy pooling in him. Jules' ex Perry was also seething with jealousy. 

"That she is. She is my best friend too." Nigel said 

"Aww thanks Nigey. You are my favorite too." Jules said 

"Heyy you said the other day that I was your fave." Sullivan said 

"You are my second favorite." She said which made him beam with pride. 

"So not fair.." Marcus Heath and Roderick said in unison. 

"Now that we have established how much we love my TA let's get back to class please." Bucky said 

Groans filled the air.

"Your next paper is due next week on the Renaissance time period. 300 hundred words single spaced..Perry. Due no later than midnight next Friday." He said 

"But coach we have a home game and practice. Come on don't do us like this." Marcus said 

"Jules help us.." Sully said 

"Sorry Sullivan I hate this class too I have to do the paper too." She said 

Groans filled the air as Jules passes out the topic guideline. Class was finished as she was walking back to his desk. A girl named Felicity stopped her. 

"Hey is your friend single?" Felicity said 

"Sully?" She said 

"No. Nigel I like him I think he's cute." Felicity said 

"Oh yeah he's single." She said 

"Great, also if I have questions about assignments in this class can I ask you for help?" Felicity said 

"Of course." She said with a smile. 

"Great I'm Felicity by the way. These are my friends Melanie Jessica Aubrey and Carissa." Felicity said 

"Nice to meet all of you." She said as she started to collect the assignments left on the desks. 

"Hey Jules can we talk?" Perry said 

"No I told you we are done. There is nothing left to talk about." She said 

"Jules please, I'm sorry." He said 

"Sorry doesn't change the fact that you cheated." She said a little to loud. 

Bucky perked his head up. He was reading over his notes for the next class. 

"I know I fucked up Jules..but I love you." He said 

"Love? Sully and Shaun both told me how you were in between some girls' legs earlier this week. So you don't love me and we are done." She said as she grabbed her bag. 

"Jules please.." he said 

"I deserve better Perry. I'm not a fool you can't keep it in your pants." She said 

"Davis you are going to be late for class aren't you? And you know my rule for my team." Bucky said as he seethed inside with jealousy and anger that someone had the gall to cheat on Jules. 

"Yeah coach." He said and walked off. 

"Come on sweetheart lunch is on me. I have to have you help me get finals ready and final papers ready. Except for your class." He said as they walked off towards his office. 

During practice that afternoon Perry was a mess and fumbling a lot. Bucky smirked and thought to himself "serves you right Davis."

When he arrived back at the office Jules was working on study guides for his American History and European history classes. He sat down beside her 

"Let me know if Davis still continues to harass you. He's one of mine to deal with." He said 

She smiled at him. "Okay." She said as she showed him the copies she had made.
