SUMEDH'S TREKKING EXPEDITION ────────♡────────
This happened almost a week ago. Sumedh had just finished with his gruelling board exams. He and his friends had gone out to celebrate having survived the exams when Vicky, his closest friend suggested they do something new, something that they will remember for the rest of their lives for they had realized that after getting their results, they would be going their separate ways to the colleges of their choice.
This thought made the decision for them. They decided to go to Mussorie for a trekking expedition. Their parents agreed on the provision that they take along a guide with them. All seven of them packed their bags and booked tickets to Mussorie. Upon reaching, the tour instructor told them about the importance of being fit and prepared for the trek ahead. For a couple of days, they exercised with him and built up a bit of stamina.
Finally, three days later, they started their trek up a craggy mountain. Having climbed quiet a considerable height of the mountain, they made camps to spend the night. Upon completing all their chores, they bunked down in their tents and decided to sleep the exhaustion off. In the middle of the night however, Sumedh had to leave the camp to answer nature's call.
He tried not to make any sound as everyone was pretty tired from the day's adventure. Taking any flashlight with him, he left the clearing and walked to find a secluded spot. It was when he was trying to come back that he realized, he had gone farther than he should have !
He was lost! He sunk down on his knees in shock. The first thing he felt was panic.

What if they left me behind ? What if I could never find my way out ?

Trying to move past these sad feelings, he tried to make himself comfortable as it was very cold.
Thankfully, he had layered up completely before leaving his tent. He spent some time walking forward in the direction that he hoped was the campsite, but then he decided to wait for the sunrise.
~Sumedh's POV~
It would be better to let them start searching for me. I was feeling pretty hungry and extremely exhausted. I should have have woken up Vicky and brought him along. Atleast we could have found our way back together.

He prayed to God to help him reunite with his friends, all night. He don't know when he fell asleep, but he remember waking up to his friends' voices, the next morning. He had only strayed a few meters away from the camp, and they had found him easily.

I got the news that class 12th isc board exams have been cancelled❤(ӦｖӦ｡)
