Chapter 2

Khai's P.O.V.

"So this is what it feels like huh?"

Never in a million years, I would thought I would be leaving my boyfriend.

I carried my last box, to my car and I cried until I couldn't anymore so I left New York with new hope that I would be able to carry on with me and bean.

As I began to drive to Virginia, I thought about the possibility of why he cheated and I couldn't focused on the road and I almost swerved but it didn't even matter to me.

All I could think about was how my life was gonna be impacted with a break-up and pregnancy.

~ 4 months later.

Oh shit, I'm gonna be late to my doctor appointment. I ran out of the apartment and made sure that Lexi was fed.

As soon as I got out of my apartment, I ran into my next door neighbor, Spencer Reid, who a man of genius and a very quizzical man.

"Hey Khai". Spencer says

"Hey Spence". I say with rushing in my voice.

He asks "what's the hold up".

I told him "I'm late for my doctor's appointment", and he stops me and bends down and ties my shoe.

"Slow down, Avery. That my future goddaughter you have in there." With a funny tone in his voice.

I screamed "Godson, Reid. It's gotta be a boy it runs heavily in my family".

He laughs and goes into his apartment.

~~~~ OTW to the OBGYN's

" Khai Avery, Dr. Manuel will see you". The nurse tells me with a smile.

"Thank you". I give her a smile.

As soon I walk through the door, Dr. Manuel greets me.

"Hello Miss Avery, how's everything?

I tell him how its going and we speak.

He asks me am I ready to know the gender of the baby and I tell him yeah, very much ready.

He tells me " Congrats it's a girl, and I look in shocked cause Reid was right.

I get off the seat and tell him thank you and he give me the ultrasound pictures.

I asked him for an extra copy so, I can give one to Reid to hang up in his office.

~~Back at the apartment

3rd person P.O.V.

Khai goes to knock at Spencer door's and someone other than Reid answers the door it's his attractive coworker, Derek Morgan opens the door.

"Hi Derek". Khai says with her very attractive smile.

"Hi tattooed beauty, I have a question? Are you ever going to tell me the meanings of those tattoos?

He asks with his very famous smile.

Khai laughs at Derek, and she says "Maybe, I will, or maybe I won't, but can I come in or do I have to stay outside and wait for Spencer?" with curiosity laced in her voice.

Derek says, "Hmm I will let you in for a price." while holding his drink, he drinks out of it, and he thinks about it.

"Let me take you on a date and then you can come in." He says with a smirk.

" You want to take me on a date?" Khai asks.

"Yes." Derek says

"Hmmmm, how about no". Khai says.
