Oikawa Tooru loses yet another girlfriend but he doesn't care. His friend Suga thinks that the problem is that he needs boyfriend as he loves simping after his best friend Iwa chan so Suga and some other friends set him up on a series of blind date...
Kawa was getting less and less sleep every night as Iwa chan was a constant in all of his dreams. The setter yawned as he walked out of his house and promptly tripped over his shoe lace and landed on top of Iwa, who was waiting to walk to school with him. For a moment time seemed to stand still as they looked into each other eyes both breathing heavily. It was like they were in a trance and as they got to within centimetres of their lips touching they heard a screech.
They both pushed off each other blushing and Makki," Good morning gays oh sorry I meant guys", he chuckled. Matsun also thought it was hilarious. "How can you two say that, "you are literally dating and currently holding hands", Iwa growled. "Yes, but dear Iwa we are at least open about it". Kawa looked shocked, "what do you mean by that Iwa chan and I are straight, aren't we?" Makki coughed and said "bullshit". Iwa and Kawa walked away leaving the meme team sauntering behind laughing loudly.
Iwa noticed throughout classes that Kawa looked like he was going to pass out at any moment so when sensei wasn't looking he kicked his chair. The brown haired boy shot upright in his chair, "what the hell Iwa". "What's wrong with you? Why are you so tired." Kawa just grumbled at him and carried on with his class.
Kawa was at home getting ready for his date when his phone pinged
IWA CHAN - Kawa, are you ok. I'm a little worried about you
KAWA - I'm fine Iwa chan just not getting much sleep
IWA CHAN - Text me when you get home and if it's not too late I'll come over
KAWA - OMG Iwa chan, yes. Do you want to maybe, stay over?
IWA CHAN - Erm, yeah that would probably be best.
Iwa thought, I'm so glad he can't see my right now. I can tell my face is burning up. Kawa felt elated. He got to spend some time with his Iwa chan.
KAWA - I'll see you in a little while Iwa chan
IWA CHAN - See you later Tooru
Kawa thought OMG he just called me Tooru 😳😳😳😳😳
The brunette walked into the bowling alley and saw a reasonably nice looking guy, who was at least 2 inches smaller than Iwa chan. He thought what the hell Tendou.
"Hey Kawa I'm Yamagata Hayato", the boy said. "Hi", Kawa smiled. "I've sorted the aisles you just need to collect your shoes. I'll go and get drinks and snacks", he instructed. When they got back they began their game and Kawa was getting his ass handed to him. He thought that being an athlete would make it easy playing this game but it did not.
"Tell me a bit about yourself Yamagata", Kawa asked. " I'm a third year at Shiratorzawa (Ushjima told me to tell you that you should have come to Shiratorizawa but I told him HELL NO". "I think I like you already", Kawa laughed. Yamagata continued, "and I'm a libero." They talked for a little while and then headed off home in separate directions. Kawa got home and had a shower and got changed and messaged Iwa telling him that he was home and that he could come over.
He pulled out his journal and opened page 4 and wrote -
YAMAGATA 3rd year Libero at Shiratorizawa. Good sense of humour
He closed the book and heard his friend running upstairs. SHIT, he thought I need to hide this journal however he didn't have time so he threw it under the bed.
"How did the date go Kawa", Iwa asked. "Same as usual I mean do these people who call me their friend really know me", he sulked. Just then his phone rang and it was Tendou, "hey bitch, how did the date go". Kawa looked at Iwa and said,"make yourself comfortable, I'm going to take this call and get snacks" and with that he left the room.
Iwa waited until he heard his friend descend the stairs and he knelt down and felt underneath Kawa's bed. He had seen the awkward way the boy acted when he entered the room and he wanted to find out what he was writing. His fingers touched a book and he pulled it out and read through. OMG he thought he's giving them scores. He began to chuckle until he saw on the last line of each page and his eyes opened wide and he gasped ' ISN'T IWA CHAN'. Shit, did this mean that Kawa liked him.

Meanwhile back with Tendou and Kawa.
TENDOU - How did it go Kawa babe
KAWA - He seemed nice enough and he had a good sense of humour but he was even shorter than Iwa chan
TENDOU - OK at least we tried. Atsumu has set up your date for tomorrow. You're going to 'The olde ice cream parlour' at the Mall at 6. He knows who you are as Atsumu has been coaching him all week.
KAWA - OK, I need to get back to Iwa chan
TENDOU - What is Iwaizumi doing there?
KAWA - He asked to come over after the date.
TENDOU - OK have fun babe
KAWA - Night Tendou
As Kawa went back to his room to see Iwa putting his hoodie and shoes back on and dash passed his friend. "Sorry Kawa, I forgot about an assignment I should have completed for tomorrow. Also I need to go somewhere before school tomorrow so I won't be able to walk with you" and before Kawa could blink his friend had disappeared.
The brown eyed boy flopped back on his bed and sighed loudly, Iwa hates me, he thought, is it because I'm dating boys, is he disgusted in me. He began to sob softly and eventually drifted off to sleep.
Iwa ran upstairs to his room whilst hyperventilating, he needed to calm down. He sat on his bed and remembered the breathing exercises that he went through with Kawa when he was stressed before a match. He thought breathe in for 3 seconds, hold it for 3 seconds and then breathe out for 3. He realised that he was grinning insanely and he shouted, shit Oikawa Tooru likes me, he likes me. He slept that night dreaming about his beautiful friend.
