I wish for you a world of light

An open world full of beauty

I wish for you a world of freedom

To be yourself and to be proud

I wish for you a world of love

To feel arms around you and know that you’re home

I wish for you to be happy and safe

And for you to know, you’re not alone

I know the world is full of shadows

A closed corridor dominated by darkness

I know the world wants to trap you

Force you into a corner and rip away your pride

I know the world is full of hate

Enough to lead anyone to self-destruction

I know the world will tear you apart

Unless you stand tall above it

I would remove this all if I could, for you

Take all the pain to keep you innocent

I would bring back my best friend, your mother
