My eyes wandered around. Is it just me or it's just me that is confused.
"Why do my locker look so different from yours?" I faced Angela.
She just shrugged.
"Man power, I think? Your family's the richest." She then opened her locker.
But it doesn't make sense. I like it but it's too much, it's unfair for others.
I sighed. I opened my locker to be greeted with many sticky notes, daisy and roses. I sighed again. This is so much mess.
"I have to come up with the hardest pin to lock my locker, it's hard to trust." I face Angela again waiting for her opinion.
She faced me with bright eyes and then came closer to whisper.
She smiled and raised her brows waiting for my reaction. I nodded and said.
"Not bad. Ayt!" I am impressed.
"Right? I mean who would think like that?"
"Er, you of course." We laughed together.
...
In the canteen we are.
There's a lot of food and snacks, and there's a lot of beverages; hot and cold, except for liqure.
I bought cheese sticks and salted fries, and for the drink I got lychee frappe shake. This is a whole lunch for me but I'm totally hungry, I haven't got breakfast except for the pop tart.
Angela got herself a cheese burger and fresh berry juice.
We sat at the only available table which is in the middle. How a show.
"You sure are hungry, huh?" Angela then sat in front of me.
I just shrugged, I totally am hungry. Isn't it obvious?
I started to eat my cheese sticks. Not bad.
Someone in my peripheral vision is coming near us. I looked up when he stood right beside me.
"Can I join you, girls?" He smiled.
Ooh. That kinda smile, don't get me that way, I can't be taken by that. I've seen a lot of smiles but no one ever made me felt my butterflies in me.
I smiled back and glanced at Angela which is looking at him too.
"Ahm, sure. Why not?" He sat beside me quickly.
"Thanks." He then faced Angela who stopped eating her food. He gave her an I-did-not-do-anything-wrong-so-let-me-be look.
"Don't you have anywhere to sit? You've got hundreds of friends yet you chose to sit with us." She rolled her eyes.
"Well I like it here since there's a newbie." He then looked at me.
"She's not a newbie. Get lost will you?" She continued to eat. And Shawn just chuckled.
"You're such a heat headed chica, you know that?" He chuckled.
"You know what? Why don't you just go to your bestfriend, why not follow him? You're a bother here." She raised one of her brows. Oh boy. This is no good.
Shawn sighed.
"I don't need to do that. He's coming home, that's what he said." He suddenly went from high to low. Lame.
Angela's eyes grew bigger. She tilted her head.
"For so many years. Wow... Just wow."
"I know right?"
