Jimin's POV

Jimin looked up... and up again. And hid eyes met all too familiar dark, fathomless dominant deapths. In a heart stoppingly handsome face. A face he knew well, because it had stayed vivid in his consciousness.

His mouth, which had opened automatically to apologies, stayed open.

"Jeon Jungkook... " he wasn't even aware of saying the alpha's name out loud. It was as if he had to say it to make it real or pray that the alpha was a figment of his imagination. But he was no figment of anyone's imagination.

He was too vital... too dark... too big and too... gorgeous.

Why did he have to bump into him? It was too cruel! Who did I cross in my past to be published like this. This is too brutal.

Jungkook's POV

"Do we know each-----?" The alpha stopped and turned around fully. Black brows pulled together, frowning.

It was him! The omega... But he knew him...

His eyes raked the omega up and down. They both knew that the way that the omega had said his name had been more than just the banal recognition of someone famous.

Jimin's POV

Jimin, while praying the alpha wouldn't recognise him, was conversely stung somewhere very vulnerable when the alpha clearly had no idea who he was. Jimin forced his stricken limbs to move, to try and get away. Jimin couldn't believe his awful luck. Why hadn't he just stayed where he was?why hadn't he taken more notice of where he was going? Why was the alpha looking at him like that? He had to get away!

"Sorry..."

Jimin turned to leave and just when he thought he could let his breath out, when he'd taken a couple of steps, his arm was taken in a punishing grip. The alpha's deep voice rang with stunned incredulity.

"Park Jimin?"

Jimin closed his eyes. The worst thing had just happened. His breath came back but it was painful. He longed to be able to keep going, to walk away.

The burning humiliation was still so vivid that he had to open his eyes again to halt the images rushing through his mind.

The alpha's grip was painful on his arm and yet... it lit tiny little fires that raced up and down over his skin.

Jimin finally turned, with little choice to do anything else. Jimin turned, hitched his chin and looked up."Yes."

The alpha's face was unreadable, but the omega saw something flare in the depths of his eyes. Anger. Shock and anger. He moved his intense gaze from the omega's and looked the omega up and down, slowly and thoroughly.

"Well, well, well. Little Park Jimin. All grown up." Jungkook spoke almost musingly, as i to himself. "Your eyes give you away. They're such a distinctive and rare colour. Silvery and grey. Only for that, I don't think I would have recognized you. You must have had work done. If I remember correctly, you always were insecure... but it's definitely been worth it."

It was only when the alpha's eyes insolently dropped to his buttocks that Jimin gasped with outrage, welcoming it because it crashed through the numbing shock.

He finally managed to tear his arm out of his grip." How dare you? I've done no such thing. I'm sorry I bumped into you,  believe me, but I'm sure you'll be only too happy to excuse me."

"Don't you mean you're sorry for wrecking my engagement all those years ago... or sorry for dragging my name through the tabloids... or sorry for publicly humiliating me, for getting me thrown out of your house like a common thief? "
