Mother always told Topaz that Union was something very sacrosanct. A pure and poise connection between two beings , two families , two kingdoms. She dreamt of his Union to be a celebration. Full of floral decorations and sweets and happy people but most importantly she dreamt of Topaz feeling as the happiest man alive that day. At that time she didn't knew that many years later, on the actual day of his Union, Topaz was feeling nothing alike. He just felt a deep feeling of nothingness. He wasn't happy. He wasn't sad. He wasn't nervous. He wasn't excited. He was just lost and thought it was all going to be a part of a bigger picture that was anything but clear at that moment to him. The trail of thoughts took him to Nacremarine where he hoped people were still happy and honest and hardworking just like they were before the war.

Lost in thoughts he was combing his hair when a person, presumably a servant asked Topaz to let him help comb his hair. Topaz closed his eyes and took deep breaths while enjoying the touch of the wooden comb and the hands of the servant. " Small mouth big talk -No one tells anything close to how heavenly you look" Topaz opened his eyes at that. A faint smile appeared on his face.
" Thats your generosity speaking. And Thank you."

" Can I dare ask you a question?" The boy with dark eyes asked. Topaz was silent and the boy asked anyway " Why is your hair so long? In a typical world its the woman who keeps this long hair"

" Ahh! When I thought no one would ask. I was to be kept the way the gods created me. Its surely a tough thing to keep hair this long but it sure teaches you."

" It teaches you patience, I believe"

"That's one of it, sir"

" Why do you call a person you don't know sir. I am merely a servant."

" But the truth is you're not. You clothes don't match to that of a servant. Its a single piece of clothing."

The boy smilingly nodded at that whilst the long haired boy turned and asked " So tell me who are you?"

" You're  going to be my elder brother's partner. Im Noah Beckam Andronicus. The second child of King Andronicus and the first and the only of the second queen."

" Its a delight to meet your majesty."

" Call me Noah. I would like you to take my name considering you are family."

" Agreed. Then tell me Noah didn't you bring anything for me? I am to be measured with material things in the Demarion rule as my experience here tells me."

" The most complicated creation of living beings can't be measured with things, let alone a creation like you. But I surely brought something for you as a welcoming gesture"

Noah went out of the room and brought a beautiful red rose. A red so deep and dark that it appeared as a dead beings blood. On asking by an astonished Topaz that how was a flower surviving in a weather so harsh and cold, Noah told him that it wasn't a real flower but a very creatively carved piece of wood art that he found on his travels and selected it to be fit for a welcoming gesture.

" You should be getting ready for the union. The saints wont like it if we're late than the holy time and no one wants that to happen. I'll excuse you."

Topaz nodded at that and waited till Noah got out of the room to start getting ready. He wore a red, green and white gown that symbolised the warriors, farmers and pearl traders of Nacremarine. No other information about the union is known as it was supposed to be very personal and secretive and thus was not transferred till the present time. But some people say after the union Topaz was dressed in all indigo, the colour of the Demarions.

Topaz then was to be taken to the second queens father, one of the oldest saints alive to get his blessings and final approval. Only king Andronicus, Prince Armie and new husband of the prince, the mind, Topaz went to see him because the saint didn't like crowds. The saints house was very minimalistic and with no roofs. They went in to the small room where he spent most of his days due to his chronic illness.
