Blizzards POV
________________

*knock knock knock* I wake up to a loud knocking on Alberts front door. I can smell and feel him slowly stop playing with my hair. *KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK* The knocks get louder and Albert slowly stands up putting a shirt on. He walks out of the room, I can tell he was trying to be as quiet as possible. He opened the front door and the rest was just muffled talking. Before I know it he walks back into the room to my side of the bed. He tucks my hair behind my ear.

"Blizzard," he says, waiting for a response. "Blizzard!" he yells. I open my eyes, he's picking his fingers, they slowly start to bleed. He does that when he's nervous.
"What's wrong-" he cuts me off.
"Some cops are here because someone said we burnt the hospital down. I need you to lie and say we were here. Ok?" He looks at me, I feel like he's looking directly into my soul.
"Ok, jeez." I break eye contact first. I get up out of bed. I realize I'm still wearing his hoodie. He didn't say anything though so I think it's fine. I hear the cops whispering in the kitchen. I walk out while Albert uses the bathroom.
"Hi! Could I make you some coffee?" I ask the male cops. Their whispers stop.
"I guess if it's not any trouble." One of them replied.
"My pleasure," I responded while turning the coffee machine on and filling the mugs.
"Black? Or would you like creamer?" I turn my head over my shoulder slightly.
"Black please!" The answer is in sync. I hand them the coffees.
"Thank you." They tell me.
"No problem," I responded. Albert finally gets out of the bathroom. He comes and stands by me on the other side of the counter.
"So let's start with the questions!" One of the cops breaks the awkward silence. I sip my coffee.
"Where were you on the night of the incident?" The cop asks.
"We were at the corner store, Gary's Groceries to be exact," Albert says "It's near the hospital and we walked home. But we did see an ambulance parked down the road from here."
"Ok, is this true?" The cop looks over at me in questioning.
"Yes, yes it is," I responded. They continue asking us questions, and we continue answering them to make us as non-suspicious as possible.
"Ok guys we don't think you're responsible for this, and Albert we will see you at work on Monday. Sorry for the early timing." The cop says while walking to the door.
"Ok bye guys," Albert says closing the door behind them. I'm not the best liar, I'm sweating, my hands are shaking. Albert comes and picks me up, my arms wrap around his neck and my legs wrapped around his back. I look at the clock '4:00 am' it read. He locks the front door and carries me to this bedroom. He sets me on his bed and covers me with a blanket. He changes out of his jeans and puts on some dark green sweatpants. *click* He turns off the light and lays down next to me.

A few minutes pass and I move closer to him. He wraps his arms around me. I untense myself and melt into his arms. He plays with me and I get that STUPID tingly feeling again. I think I'm starting to like him. No, but yes, but no. STOP. He's just trying to protect you. Shut up. I ignore my thoughts and flutter my eyes down falling asleep.
