I barely made it in class. I sat down in my assigned seat and took my notebook for my notes. As I was taking my pencil bag out my friend Elizabeth approached me.
"Hey (y/n), what's up? You're always the first to arrive?"
"Oh yeah, I tripped twice this morning and got distracted with a package that was outside my apartment door," I explained.
"A late birthday present maybe?"
"No, the package was rather small to fit a present inside, besides my birthday hasn't passed yet."
The teacher walked in and Elizebeth took her seat right behind me.
English class is my favorite subject, especially when we write short stories. Right now we're reading The Call of the Wild. Buck has such amazing adventures! I wish I could go on adventures and explore places, but instead, I'm stuck in a school where the only thing exciting that ever happens is in books.

It's lunchtime and guess brought leftover curry from last night! Not me, but my friend Elizabeth.................... I forgot my lunch bag on the kitchen counter with all the ruckus I caused. I left Elizebeth waiting for me in the quart yard as I went to go buy a granola bar at the vending machine. As I was walking towards the hall I felt something off. Like something was watching me. I looked around but didn't see anyone. The more I walked the tighter the hall seemed to be getting. Finally, when I reached the vending machine and put my money in the slot I felt some sort of relief. Took me a while to realize that this was not normal, so I calmly picked up my snack, and boogied it down the hall. I was just so relieved to be out of there. I told Elizabeth everything that happened and she told me that multiple students have said the same thing, but the staff didn't find anything suspicious.
"It could be a spirit trying to tell us something," noted Elizebeth.
"I highly doubt that!" I yelled.
"Okay, but what would you do if spirits are actually wandering the halls of Apple Valley Acadamy?"
"Simple, I'd leave and go back to live with my parents," I stated very firmly I ain't gonna share a school with potential malithical ghosts.

After school, I dropped by my apartment to leave my backpack and change into my working clothes. I work at a library nearby and it's such a peaceful environment to work in. Just before I left I remembered the box that was left in front of my door. I took a quick glance at it and before you know it my curiosity got all the best of me and I opened the box................................. The box......had................. a silver ring......with....... a ruby on it........................................ my birthstone.
Author's note: Hey dear reader! Guess what!!!
I decided to publish two times a week for now. Wednesdays and Fridays.
Eventually, I will shift back to Fridays, but don't worry there will always be a chapter posted on Wednesdays and Fridays.
And if not then I'll have to post either two chapters on a Wednesday or three on a Friday.
I hope you all enjoyed this episode, byeeee until next time!!
Weekly Question #1: Do you think that the birthstone has anything to with (y/n)?
