“Oi, get out of here, you fucking hobbit,”
I looked over as the door to the infirmary room slid open. Bakugou walked in, still dressed in his workout clothes as he cracked his knuckles, looking around. I turned back to the microscope in front of me.
“In a minute. I’m doing something right now,” I mumbled. I heard him pull a chair up beside me.
“What’re you doing?” He asked.
“Here, take a look for yourself,” I said, turning the microscope towards him. Bakugou looked at me weirdly and I nudged it closer to him. He rolled his eyes.
“It just looks like a bunch of red dots.”
“They’re my blood cells,” I said, switching out slides. “These are Todoroki’s.”
Immediately, he saw. “They’re different,” He said.
“Exactly. My quirk is in my blood, so it’s different from everyone elses. And this one...is mine and Uraraka’s mixed.” I said, again, switching out slides.
“What the hell?” Bakugou said in surprise. “It looks like yours.”
“Yeah. I tested to see what would happen should I get a blood transfusion. However, in another test, I used Todoroki’s blood more than mine, and it didn’t fuse together. Originally, there are around 10.5 pints, or 5 liters, of blood in the human body. Depending on your body weight, mass, and physique, the amount of blood you can lose can vary. I can lose around 4 pints of blood before I go into shock and it can be considered severe hemorrhaging. Sizing it up, I can lose two pints of blood so long as I have one pint for transfusion. In every ratio, my blood has to be more than the donor,” I explained.
“Still, that’s a lot of blood to lose at once,” He muttered.
“I don’t think it’ll ever come to that, but it was just so I know,” I said, taking the slides and placing them back into their sleeves. “It would have been bad if I figured it out in the middle of a fight.”
“Yeah, I’d say so,” Bakugou scoffed, watching me stand to replace the samples into the fridge.
“Don’t worry about me so much. Katsuki,” I replied, motioning to the door. “I’m pretty smart, so I think I can handle this. Not to mention I’ve been training a lot more recently.”
