He saw the blast more than felt. He hadn't really felt it at all actually, but he's definitely feeling it now. As Red Alert wheels him to the medibay he can just make out Chromedome's shape hovering over him. His significant other names off things he's alergic to and it makes Rewind want to roll his optics around. Even as injured as Chromedome is, he still cares more about Rewind than himself. His optics fall offline after a few more seconds and he lets himself drift.

When he manages to find the strength to bring himself back online he definitely feels the damage. "Red Alert?" He tries to catch the medic's attention. "Chromedome, he's my Conjunx Endura. Please let him know.. in case I.." Red Alert stops him there.
"I don't want to hear it, Rewind you're going to live, ill make sure of it," He tells the minibot. Rewind falls silent, giving the rest of his strength to nod. Another shock through his core makes him scream, though it sounds more static than anything. Ratchet is over him now, pulling wires and opening various panels.
"Please, Ratchet.. I don't ask for much, but we have to save Rewind. He has to live," Red Alert's voice is the last thing the mini-bot hears before slipping under once more.

He doesn't wake. For days Chromedome sits by his bedside, broken and sobbing over his Conjunx Endura.
"You have to wake up, Rewind. Please, you have to wake up," he can't help but blame himself. If he had been closer, maybe things would be okay now? His servos trace delicate patterns along Rewind's chest plate. He just can't believe it, another one lost. Is he doomed to be alone forever? It must be true then, he's nothing but bad luck.

The medbay doors open with a loud hiss. The noise, though he's in here everyday, still makes him jump. Raising his head a bit he finds Ratchet in his optic's view.
"Still no change?" He asks. His voice holds a twinge of sympathy for the hurting bot. Chromedome merely shakes his head.
"No change since yesterday," he regrets saying it, not wanting to believe that this could really be the end of his Sparkmate. "I don't want to believe ot, Ratchet.. he can't really be gone, can he?" He looks up then, spark pulsing hard in his chamber. Coolant stains his cheeks. Ratchet simply sighs.
"Chromedome you know I can't answer something like that. Rewind is so small, it may take him a long time to get back on his feet and awake. You may just have to give it time, I'm sorry," the Mnemosurgeon nods solemnly.

Days pass and nothing changes in Rewind's condition. Chromedome grows more worried as the more time passes. He's scared, panicking that his love will never wake up.
"Hell be fine, I'm sure of it! I've got Cybercrosis and look at me, I'm still going hard!" Tailgate, another mini-bot on the Lost Light, beams happily. "Besides, Rewind is the toughest bot I know." He peeks around and giggles slightly. "Other than Cyclonus of course." Chromedome nods, taking a sip of his Engex cube.

With a heavy spark and depleting energy he rises and makes his way out of Swerve's bar. He stumbles back to his cabin, only to break down in front of the door.
"Rewind.." he slumps against the cooled metal of the door, shaking with hiccups and soft sobs. So many je had lost, he was sure Rewind would be the one, the ome he could finally save. "It isn't fair," he hits the door hard enough to leave a small dent. "It isn't fair!" A hand rests itself on his shoulder and makes him jump. He turns to see Rung. Of course it had to be Rung.
"Chromedome, you know I'm here to talk, whenever and whatever you need. That's my job." Chromedome hesitates before wrapping the therapist in a tight hug.

"Thank you, Rung. It's just hard, you know? I miss him so much.. I miss his laugh.. his stupid jokes.. his voice.. I miss the feeling of his Spark with mine when we relax. I miss.. him.." he mumbles in a desperate  tone. "Oh Rung.. what am I going to do?" He lets a few sobs break out, shaking his helm. Coolant streams down his cheek as Rung takes his hand.
"Come to my office, Chromedome. We can talk there."
