"Wake up Crissy! Wake up we have to get to breakfast now!" Mattie started to hit me with her pillow. I bolted up as I was exited to get my hands on some delicious pancakes. "That outa get you up." Mattie laughed as she put on her robes. I ran to the bathroom to quickly shower and get myself ready.

Mattie and I along with a few other housemates walked to the great hall for breakfast. I could smell those pancakes from a mile away. Food is my favorite thing in the world besides my friends. We sat down at our table while Dumbledore gave his stupid pathetic speech then finally allowed us to eat. "So Crissy, I have a question?" Mattie asked while shoving a piece of pancake into her mouth. " Yes?" I turned my head away from my plate onto her showing she has my attention. " Alright don't get angry at what I'm about to ask." I stared at her already knowing the question she asks me about twice a week, I still let her speak hoping it was a different question I nodded In response so she knows I won't get mad. Though
I make no promises. "Okay so are you and Malfoy together yet?" She quirked her eyebrows up hoping to finally get the response she has been wanting for the past three years. " Ugh no we're just friends nothing more please don't ask again!" I groaned frustrated from her stupid question. I don't understand why everyone think we are together. Can two people not have a good friendship without automatically being put together as a 'couple' ? " Alright alright- but I'm not letting this go until you two pea brains get together!" She laughed and took a sip of her pumpkin juice.

"Alright let's get to potions before professor Snape kills us!" Mattie shoved another piece of her pancake in her mouth as I swatted her with the daily prophet paper I was holding. "Alright fine." Mattie said with a full mouth. " MANNERS Mattie! Finish chewing!" She giggle as I swatted her once again with the paper. We were nearly at Snape's class room when I suddenly heard my Slytherin best friend. "Draco!" I walked away from Mattie as I ran to the blonde boy to give him a hug. " Hey! Really? Your just gonna ditch me for him?" Mattie placed her hands on her hips and quirked her eyebrows at me. " Sorry Mattie. I'll catch up with you in class." She stuck her middle finger at me as she walked away. " Weird that one is?" Draco said suddenly breaking the silence after my giggled laughter of Matties actions. "She is not weird! That's not nice don't call her that!" Draco scoffed at my response of his actions. "What class do you have?" Draco put his arm around my shoulder and replied, " Well I have Transfiguration. You?". " Oh me? I have potions." Draco looked down at me and smirked. Oh god what is he up to now? " Are you trying to get your ass in trouble?" He removed his hand from my shoulder and stopped walking. " I suggest you get to class now before you get yourself a detention for being late." He turned me around and shoved me lightly towards Snape's class room.

"Late you are Miss Bruo." I walked into Snape's classroom to be met by his cold voice sending shivers down my spine. " Sorry Professor it won't happen again." I smiled nervously hoping it would ease his punishment he was surely gonna give me. " Take a seat next to Mister Potter. Detention after dinner." Well that went— well? No it actually didn't I have a detention on the first week of school. My mother will not be pleased. I took my seat next to Harry who looked very nervous which to my surprise wasn't shocking as he's socially awkward. " Ease down Potter— your turning red." I giggle and shoved his arm a tiny bit. "Oh erm— sorry—" he shifted in his seat and his body tensed up as I giggled at his awkwardness. " Since you seem to like to disrupt my class so much miss Bruo I assume you have no problem in answering my question. What is the very first ingredient in Verita serum?" I stared at him nervously trying to find somewhere in my pea brain the answer. " As expected— 10 points from Hufflepuff." I turned my head to my right to see Mattie who looked extremely worried. I gave her a apologetic smile and then a thumbs up to let her know I am okay.
