London:
A week later.
Cameron and I have been hanging together a lot since the party and yes the butterflies still show up in my stomach whenever I first see him or when I witness him smile or when the melodic sound of his laughter fill my ear drums. But for the most part I’m accustomed to his presence and treat him like an old friend.
“I’m coming to pick you up and we can go somewhere.” Cam’s voice rang through my phone.
“Okay, sounds great. But where are we going?”
“I don’t know,” He chuckled. “Tell you this. Where have you always wanted to go?”
I thought about it for a second. “Well the first thing that comes to mind is probably the Hollywood sign. I’ve never been there.”
“Sounds fantastic, see you soon.” He hung up.
I ran to my room and put on a simple pair of shorts and a loose shirt. Tying the laces of my vans, I heard the doorbell ring.
“Coming Cam!”
I went to the door and opened it. He looked up at me and smiled.
“Hey, come in. I just need to run upstairs, get my wallet and we’ll go.” I smiled at him. He nodded and entered the house. I closed the door and was about to run upstairs but was stopped by Cameron’s hand on my arm.
“You won’t be needing that.” He said.
“My wallet? Of course I will Cam.” I chuckled then got out of his grip and tried to go upstairs.
“No you don’t London.” He smiled. I smiled back then ran down the hall trying to go up the stairs.
“Oh no you won’t!” I heard Cam yell behind me with silliness laced in his voice. I started to laugh. I felt his arms snake around my waist and pull me off the stairs.
“Cam I’m getting my wallet whether you like it or not! I refuse to let you pay for this alone!” I said laughing, struggling to get out of his firm grip. I heard him laugh.
He pinned me down on the sofa. So he was hovering over me. “And what makes you think that?” He laughed. My laughter had dialed down, becoming concentrated on his face being close to mine. “Hm?” He said with a smirk.
I shrugged then somehow managed to flip us over and hovering over him. “Maybe this.” I said while stroking his jaw. I then hopped off of him and ran as fast as I could to my room, hearing his footsteps behind mine. I was able to reach my room and grab my wallet. I saw him standing at the doorframe. “Put the wallet down.” He demanded. I smiled. Then ran right by him and sprinted to his car, entering it and comfortably sat in the passenger’s seat.
Cam walked out of my house and closed the door.
He sat in the driver’s seat and looked at me with a tired look and smiled. He nodded his head then turned on the car, backing it out of the driveway.
“The ride is going to take a while so you can get comfortable.”
“How long?”
“Thirty to forty minutes. Around that range.” He said. I nodded and laid my head against the window.
Cameron:
From the steering wheel I turned the radio on and looked at London. Her long blonde hair running down her arms and back. Her legs looking shinny and soft… I turned my head to look forward and paid attention on the road instead of on the beautiful girl next to me.
She rolled her window down and put her hand outside of it. Feeling the air, then making movements with her hand. Kind of looking like waves or dolphins. She looked at me, flashing her pearly whites.
“The air feels amazing Cam. Try it.” She said gesturing to her hand out the window. I smile then did the same thing. She took a video of me doing it. I was about to say something before she beat me to it. “I won’t post it anywhere don’t worry.”
It’s like she read my mind. I smile tugged at the end of my lips and I let a small ‘okay’ escape them.
Finally we arrived to the Hollywood sign and got a real close look. She was so happy. I took lots of pictures of her and she did the same to me. At one point I threw my arm around her neck and took a picture of us together.
“I love it Cam, it’s adorable.” She said soothingly. I looked in her eyes and lingered there until I heard a couple of squeals.
“CAMERON DALLAS!?” A small group of girls screamed while running towards London and I. They reached me and started to hug me and they pulled their phones out to take pictures. I was smiling to all of them and hugged them all back. But the girls just kept piling up and when I looked around I couldn’t find London. I started to worry a bit but I didn’t want to let it show.
“Guys, I really need to go so please one picture per person. I have an emergency to get to at home.” I lied. I needed to find London.
They all groaned but some agreed. After I took pictures with all of them I started to walk around. Luckily I found London sitting with her tan legs crossed on a bench eating an ice pop scrolling through the social media on her phone. I sighed happily. If that’s even possible. I walked to her and sat beside her. “How was it?” She asked.
“Great, I love meeting my fans. I just got worried when I couldn’t find you.” I spoke. She laughed cutely. “Thanks, next time I’ll be in the crowd and want to take a picture with you.” She winked. I laughed.
“What flavor?” I asked, referring to her pop. “Cherry,” She smiled. “Would you like me to purchase you one? They have lemon, cherry, grape, watermel-“
“I’ll buy it myself. Like I said before, you didn’t need to bring your wallet.” I announced with a small smile.
“Too bad Cam. Now what flavor?” She insisted. I gave her an annoyed look.
“IT’S LIKE TWO DOLLARS.” She laughed. “Can’t I buy you something? Plus it’s no big deal Cam, really.” She smiled. I sighed and gave in.
“Cherry.” I looked up to meet her eyes and she smiled. Her happiness radiating off of her, making me happy. After she came back with my ice pop we got in the car.
“My apartment or yours?” I asked. This would be the first time I was going to take her to my apartment if she said yes. I looked over to her and saw she was startled.
“Y-your apartment?” She looked at me. I nodded.
“Uh. Are you sure?”
I nodded again, “Is it a problem London?”
“No it’s not that,” She laughed. “Put yourself in my place, a guy I’ve been a fan for, for a long time just invited me to his apartment. Where over four million girls are dying to go see in person.”
I watched her in amusement while she talked, looking at the roof of the car, and then meeting my eyes. I smiled. She laughed.
“But it’s cool. No big deal.” She said sarcastically making me laugh out loud.
“My apartment it is.” I laughed.
