"Hello, and welcome to Queer Castle! I am Principal Williams. Next to me on the stage is my brother, Vice Principal Williams.
"This is our first year teaching, so the first few weeks will be experimental. Your schedule will probably change several times, and more students will probably join in. You will be expected to treat them with kindness and courtesy.
"Three of your power instructors -- Mr. Taylor, Mr. Williams, and Mr. Henry -- are temporary, as we have not found replacements yet. Until we do, you will treat them with respect. When the new instructors arrive, you will also treat them with respect.
"At the beginning of the assembly, you were given a bag with several items inside. I want you all to pull out the red scroll. This is the map of the school, including the grounds. The top floors of the castle are off-limits as they are still undergoing construction. You are also not allowed to go into the woods unless it is for our extra-curricular P.E. class.
"Next, the orange scroll. This contains a list of the extra-curricular classes that I have mentioned. They are taught on weekends. Two of these do not have titles yet; we are still trying to find one.
"There are four extra classes:
"Self-Defense, of which we have not found a teacher yet. This class will include learning how to use different kinds of weapons in, well, self-defense.
"A special P.E. class, which is taught by your regular P.E. coach, Nicole Jones. The curriculum will not be announced until the first class.
"A special anatomy class, taught by your drama teacher, Elizabeth Carroll.
"And finally a special history class, taught by your English teacher and librarian, Elena Johnson-Wright.
"Usually, with extra-curricular classes, you would sign up for them. These classes are different. At the end of each month, we will pick two or three students that have proven themselves able to take these classes. While interesting and exciting, these classes have a different difficulty than most classes. Some of you will not be able to handle it.
"Now please take out the yellow scroll. This contains a list of your teachers and the classes they teach, as well as their office hours and the location of their offices. We will add to this list as more teachers come -- we still do not have teachers for Math and History.
"The green scroll contains the school calendar. We will, of course, celebrate holidays and have parties and activities, most of which will involve your powers. Since there are so few of you, we will also be celebrating your birthdays. You may choose what kind of party you would like to have.
"The blue scroll is the pool schedule. We have two pools -- the indoor pool is specifically for P.E., both classes, and the outdoor pool is for recreation. If we find that you have used the indoor pool outside of P.E. class or without permission from your coach, you will receive detention.
"The purple scroll contains the school rules. We will expect you to follow each and every one of them. Some of them will result in expulsion, if you break them.
"The white envelope contains the schedule for your first week, your dorm room key and location, and a list of activities available on weekends. The activities include horseback riding, supervised by our art teacher, Opal Johnson-Wright, an archery arena, supervised by Elizabeth Carroll, our Drama teacher, and the library.
"We'll take a few minutes for the sections to talk and get to know one another. Afterward we will be going to the cafeteria for dinner, after which Mr. Peterson and Mr. Taylor will give a tour of the school."
