THEA WAS WALKING BEHIND CARLOS, HIS back in front of her as she walked. Her hand leaned forward, and Carlos' leaned backward, making their hands be intertwined behind his back.
"Hey!" Talana shouted. She ran to catch up with the group of friends and stopped when she saw Thea and Carlos' intertwined hands, in which stopped the room to walk nowhere else but beside Thea.
"Hey Lana!" Evie spoke, as soon Thea, Sakai, Mal also bid their friend hello.
"Hey, has Jay asked you to cotillion?" Thea asked her bestfriend, curious about her.
About 4 months after the events at coronation, Jay and Talana started to feel something for each other. They can't take their eyes of each other, and soon enough, Jay manned up enough and told Talana that he liked her. Talana felt the same way so they began dating. But Jay was having the problem of getting the memo that being taken, means you can't flirt with other girls.
As of right now, they are not on speaking terms. They basically broke up.
"No. I don't even know if he even wants to go with me." Talana stated, a frown and the look of hurt played on her face as she saw Jay speaking with girls yet again. She quickly tried to shake it off. "It's fine."
A smirk appeared on her face, turning back to look at Thea. "Has Carlos asked you to be his girlfriend yetttttt?"
Thea and Carlos got closer over time, of course. Carlos started to take her on a lot of more dates during the 6 month time period. The two acted like a couple, but Carlos and Thea never put an official label on it. When boys asked her if she's single, she doesn't know if she should say she's taken. She never got clarification.
"No." Thea spoke, looking at her friend. "I don't know if he wants to put a real label on it."
Thea looked over to the tables in the garden. She seen Avery and Chad sitting at a table, their hands intertwined as they talked to some of Chad and Audrey's friends. Avery soon caught the eye of Thea, sending her a awkward but short wave. Thea ignored the girl, turning back to the group before her, causing Avery's face and mood to drop deeply.
"Hey, Thea." Carlos looked behind him to look at the girl he absolutely adored.
"Yes, bubs?" Thea replied, walking up to be in front of the boy.
"I was wondering...uh..." Carlos continued to stutter at the girl as she stood. He cleared his throat to regain himself, before talking again. "If you liked the.... carrot cake last night."
"I had the pumpkin pie."
"Oh, cool. Um, uh-"
"Smooth." Jay spoke, taking the boy along with him as they began to talk again.
Evie came up to Thea as she greeted Lonnie and Jane who had walked up to her minutes before. "I have an opening for a fitting at 3:00. Who wants it?"
"Me!" Lonnie shouted, quickly trying to take the spot before anyone else could. "Sorry."
"No worries. I had my fitting with Mal earlier today." Thea said, laughing at her friends.
"Perfect. I'll take you later." Evie spoke.
"Hey, Thea." Carlos called, making the girl turn around. "Come on, we gotta go."
"I'm coming." Carlos looked at the watch on his wrist, seeing that Thea went back to her conversation, Carlos ran back to her place, grabbed her forearm softly, and took her with him to walk.
"Bye guys!" Thea shouted, as Carlos softly dragged her through the hallways.
The two walked to class together, Thea removing Carlos' grip on her forearm to her hand, and properly intertwined her fingers with his.
"Carlos I think we need to talk."
Carlos began to worry as Thea said this. "What about, T?"
"What are w-"
The bell rung loud in the hallways, interrupting the sentence Thea needed to get out.
"We will have to talk later." Thea said to him, and he nodded.
The sound of camera's flashing soon filled Thea's ears, as she looked around to see the paparazzi flailing towards her and Carlos.
"Paparazzi." Thea whispered. Carlos' eyes widened as the both sped up to their classroom. The paparazzi still following them as Carlos hurriedly put his hand on Thea's back, helping her speed up.
The two made it to the classroom, successfully getting away, and taking their seats.
