The boy lay on the soft mattress, expressionless as he looked out the window in front of his bed. His mind was mostly empty, no thoughts fuzzing his mind, as usual.

He didn't know many words, but he knew he felt a lot of emotions. It was his only way of truly understanding his surroundings, by knowing what he was feeling and what others felt, based off of their body language and facial expressions.

His name is Taehyung, that's one thing he knew. It appeared very important that he knew his name, as well as the phrase "Yes sir".

Taehyung only ever saw three people, Seokjin, Jimin and Yoongi.

Though Taehyung didn't know the true purpose of these people, he did enjoy interacting with them. He was never taught how to speak, but over the past two or three years they started teaching him simple phrases.

Like when Jimin would unlock the chains from his ankles and wrist, gently helping the boy over to the connected bathroom, he would point at random items and repeat their names for Taehyung.

As he would sit the boy down into the warm water of the bath, he would humour Taehyung by naming everything and getting Taehyung to repeat it a few times. He'd even test to see if Taehyung remembered the name of a few things.

The bed creaked a little, chains clinking as the boy shifted, his gaze still studying the view. The room was rather small with just a single bed and a bedside table, the walls were white and the bed was red and silky, Taehyung loved how it felt against him. Not to mention, it kept his skin soft and delicate to the touch.

Inside the table next to him was his change of clothes, consisting of a large button up silky shirt with a pair of black underwear.

The only other thing in the room besides the bed, bedside table, Taehyung and the window, were the chains.

He did get rather annoyed at how restricted he was, but this was how he had grown up. A part of him wishes to be free, but another is scared to have that kind of freedom.

The sun was getting low, the light in the room slowly fading. Taehyung turned to look at the red door that exited his room with expectation.

Taehyung focused, his ears picking up the sound of steps coming closer. The steps were fast paced and had a purpose.

Yoongi.

A few seconds later, a click was heard, the door silently swinging open.

"Oon-gi," Taehyung calls out, suddenly a bright smile gracing his features.

The guard makes eye contact with the boy, immediately smiling back. Yoongi didn't have the heart to correct the boy, just shaking his head gently as he entered the room. He wore an all black uniform, his hair black too.

Yoongi was quite muscular, as he had to be for his job, but he was still on the short side.

The guard approached the bed, pulling a key out his pocket.

"Hello Taehyung," he greets with his low voice, now closer the other could see the guards stubble along his jawline.

Taehyung found him very attractive, he knew he felt this way as his body felt fluttery when the other was near, but then again it was the exact same with Jimin and Seokjin.

They were both very pleasing to stare at for the boy.

Taehyung felt his cheeks grow warm, "out?" he lifted his arms as much as they chains allowed, happy to get some free time.

Yoongi would come in once every few days to let Taehyung out, and help get him to exercise.

"Yes, I'll let you out," Yoongi nods, reaching for one of Taehyungs restraints.

Taehyung hisses softly, the metal rubbing harshly at his skin. Being chained for years would damage anyone's skin, and Taehyung tended to move in his sleep so often he'd wake up bleeding. But then Seokjin would come soon after hearing his cries to tend to his wounds.

That being said, Taehyung let's out a gasp of relief when the chains slip from his skin, immediately examining the scabs formed over the scars.

His skin was perfect and delicate everywhere but his wrists and ankles.

Yoongi felt bad for the boy, but he couldn't do much but give word to Seokjin to come in a bit later to try ease the pain.

"Up," Yoongi tells him, Taehyung giving a little stretch.

"Yes sir," the words were well spoken, not surprisingly as he had said them many times.

Taehyung sits up, bending his knees and slowly dangling his feet off the bed before gently putting them on the cold floor and standing.

Taehyung swayed a little, finding his balance. Yoongi helped him by linking arms with him. The two then walked slowly out the room, into the hall.

Taehyung disliked this hall, it gave him chills.

He could hear others behind the hundreds of doors that lined the hall, all either crying or growling, terrible snarls reaching his ears.

But it was as if Yoongi couldn't hear any of it, simply closing the door behind them and walking Taehyung down the hall. The thing that confused the boy was that there was only one other door that was the same colour as his own, but he never heard a single sound from that room. Ever.

"Taehyung, focus," Yoongi's voice echoed, silencing the other rooms for a few seconds.

"Y-Yes sir," The boy spoke softly, not wanting the others to hear him.

But the noise returned, louder and scarier. Still, Yoongi never took notice of it. Taehyung began to wonder if only he could hear it. He always thought about this.

The two ended up in the one other room Taehyung was familiar with. Almost immediately he let go of Yoongi and ran in, excitedly running to the cool thingies.

Yoongi laughed, closing the door behind him.

"Get on the treadmill first," Yoongi ordered, walking to the said machine.

"Runner?"

"Yes, the runner"

Taehyung nods, going over with a smile. The boy spent an hour or two doing a good amount of exercise and stretching, leaving him sweaty and sticky.

Taehyung took a wiff of himself and gagged. His usual scent of strawberries and vanilla was now a lot stronger and a bit more sour.

Yoongi just chuckled, guiding the boy back to his room. It was almost as if someone had dropped a bomb once the two entered the hallway.

It was silent, Taehyung now intimidated by how there were no sounds. No sounds at all.

But a sudden bang followed by a deep growl scared the boy, Yoongi looking at him in confusion.

Taehyung was breathing heavily, looking to the door the sound came from.

It was the other room with the red door.
