"So what? We're running errands now?" Douglas asked from his seat in the gunner's position, which was right next to the air conditioning unit of the tank. "From what I heard Specialist is that this errand involves us killing a bunch for creatures of fantasy that shouldn't even exist. But hey, the Lieutenant says the payment's good. At least he thinks so, and what ever is in the that cave we're driving to us ours to keep."

The Abrams tank thundered the down the road with the caravan unit trailing behind it. Five of the Rangers were sitting on the caravan with the supplies they found and the other five including Rodgers were sitting on top of the tank turret. Jerome and John had their heads out of their hatches as they manned the guns available to them with Jerome's switched to manual control so he could control it manually instead of using the remote control unit inside.

Behind them, a large gust of dust was being dragged up by how fast they were going as they were leaving a massive trail.

Some of the Rangers had already begun to break into their MREs as they got some energy into their system before they went to complete this task they were given.

"Question sir." Ryan said to Rodgers as he slurped up a noodle from his meal. "Why were so deciding on being part of this guild thing?"

Rodger just sighed. "It just felt right for some reason. Besides what are we going to be doing? Cleaning dishes? We're in the middle of only god knows where with little understanding of how this world works. Besides, we're soldiers. Trained to kill in the most efficient manner as possible. Doing stuff like this should be easy for us to quickly adapt to and put our training and skills to good use."

"Hmm. I guess that kinda makes sense." Ryan responded. "But I would have been fine just doing dishes and such." He stopped and though for a moment. "I wonder how my wife and the kids are doing now that I am officially dead back home? God I really miss them."

"I'm sure our families are mourning over our deaths back home sergeant. But let's focus on the task right now." Rodger pulled out the map and quickly inspected it. "We're about to arrive."

The Ranger put away the containers they were eating out of and pulled out their guns. Jackson and Markus both pulled out DP12 twelve gauge double barreled pump action shotguns as they were expecting close quarters in cave.

The tank then lurched to a halt as they had arrived at their destination and the Rangers all began to dismount and form into groups. "Jerome, wait out here for us to return, and if any goblins start coming your way, starting shooting and we'll come running."

"Understood Lieutenant." Jerome saluted from outside his hatch. "We'll hold the fort and keep watch for any of the scoundrels."

"Alright boys. Let's go goblin hunting."

The Rangers then began to walk away from the tank as they moved father off the road and into a rocky desert area where the goblin's den lie ahead.

"Well shit. That's a big cave." Forge commented as the stood before the mouth opening of the den labeled on the map by a red circle. "This must be it. Night vision and torches at the ready."

They Rangers all lowered their googles over their tac glasses and began to outline the entire opening inside in a black and orange highlight. Clearing displaying what was inside clearly, and they advanced in. Letting the darkness consume them.

"Keep close to each other. Check all corners and fire on anything that moves." Rodgers said as the group began to hear scurrying and high pitched snickering and laughter.

Jenkins suddenly jerked to the right as he saw movement behind a bunch of stalagmites, along with the sound of little feat scurrying around. This was it alright.
