The Damned Beauty

Chapter 1

~FLASHBACK~

" So hunny are you ready to see the mountains? They are quite beautiful this time of year." Mom wanted us to spend a weekend camping in the mountains and honestly dad couldn't say no he loves the outdoors. I would rather be back home hanging with my friends.

" Look princess I know you would rather go out with your friends than hang with your parents, but we don't get to do this often." I get we don't get to do this, but can't we just skip it this year? " Dad I'm almost 13, I'm too old to be called princess." Clearly I'm annoyed by the nickname. " You're right, but no matter what you will always be my princess."

Smiling, mom breathing heavily looked back at me and told me to not be afraid and that she loved me so much. After she told me that dad yelled telling us to brace ourselves and that he loves me.  

Looking up at my parents I knew this was no prank. There was a car spinning out of control heading towards us and once it had hit I blacked out and woke up to the sounds doctors talking. Trying to focus on what they are saying and making it seem like I'm still asleep was difficult. All I had gotten from the conversation was one doctor asking if her colleague had found any family to take me in. Panicking, I try to focus more on what they are saying but they left before I could hear more.

~PRESENT DAY~

"LEXI!!"

"Coming!" I sigh knowing I am about to get yelled at for coming in late last night.

"Yes Aunt Gloria?" I don't know why I am trying to act like nothing happened, it's not like it'll change whats about to go down. I can see her heart beating in her chest and she is breathing pretty heavily through her nose as if her mouth had been glued shut and that was her only way to breathe.

"DON'T YOU TRY AND ACT ALL SWEET WITH ME!!!!," Here come the dramatics. "YOU WERE OUT ALL NIGHT AND THE HOUSE IS A MESS!!." She throws her hands are as if it makes her seem more dominant when actually it kinda makes her look crazy, so I smile a bit and that just makes her more mad. "YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY HUH? WELL LET'S SEE HOW FUNNY IT WILL BE WHEN YOU HAVE TO STAY UP AND CLEAN." I really hate her and this whole family, honestly I just hate everything about my life.

Once she leaves I get started on cleaning up the house which wasn't a mess when I left. "This sucks! the wonder twins made this mess and yet here I am cleaning it up. Better clean fast so I can get some sleep before school." Finally done cleaning and it only took me two hours. It's midnight and school starts at like six so better get some sleep.

My alarm goes off at five and I am miserable but the wonder twins are the reason I barely got any sleep. I jump in the shower and wake myself up and do some light makeup. I throw my hair up in a messy bun and wear some leggings, a flannel top and wear my converse.  I have about seven classes to get through with only six hours of sleep to do it. My cousins have a car so they drive to school, my best friend picks me up for school every morning because she know the twins will never take me. "Hey Lex!" I don't understand how she is so cheery in the morning. " Hey Cas."

Cas is the only reason I have been able to survive my family. If I didn't have her I don't think I would be able to keep myself from running away from this hell. She is the only one who knows what I go through and so she is the only one there for me when I need her. We have the first class together which happens to be English, my favorite class.  

"Finally lunch time! I heard it was pizza day." Cas loves when we have pizza, I don't mind it  it's just not my favorite. "Cas I love you but I swear I think food is all you think about." Which so isn't wrong, I actually believe that is all she thinks about. If she could I think she would have a relationship based off the love of food. Lunch is over and now I only have two classes left, math and study hall. I love study hall at the end because I can get all my homework done so I don't have to stay up and do it. 

School is over so I meet Cas by her car so she can drop me off. School isn't my favorite but it's better than having to go back to a home I hate. I only have a few months left till I turn eighteen and then I'll finally be able to get out and live a free life away from my family. As soon as I enter the door Aunt Gloria tells me what I have to do. "Lexi, I have a dinner tonight and your uncle will be going out of town and the twins are having a party tonight so I need you to clean and get everything ready." Only a few more months until I'm done with all of this. "Okay Aunt Gloria." This is their party and yet I have to get everything ready and I don't even get anything out of it. 

I am done with the cleaning and doing everything Gloria said to do. I'm going to go to bed now and maybe get more sleep before school tomorrow, thank god tomorrow is Friday. I'll text Cas and let her know what Gloria had me do for the twins before I lay down. 

L- "Hey Cas."

C- "Hey Lex. Anything fun happen today lol?"

L- "Very lol. Gloria had me clean the house yet again and I had to get the twins party ready."

C- "Did you get anything out of it, life food?"

L- "Not exactly. They didn't give me anything, but I did sneak some food before I placed it on the tables."

C- "Lol that's my girl."

L- "Lol. Well I'm going to get some sleep before school tomorrow. I'll see you in the morning."

C- "Okay Girly. Love you!"

L- "Love you too!"
