I strike down an opponent with my leafoid blade, the sword gleaming with ash as their bodies dissipate into dust. "One left." I say to myself, turning to the Moonlian with blue hair trailing behind them and sneaking behind me with a crystal scythe, so I hold my oaken shield up to block the blow they were about to inflict on me. Their plan failed, they leap above me and attempt to knock me out while I crouch and slash at their feet, missing but distracting them long enough for me to slash at their right arm when they landed on their feet and hit, cutting it off for it to turn into dust and float into the air.

Enraged, the Moonlian uses her left arm to charge magic, presumably to shoot at me, as I hold up my shield, grounding myself for the hit. The other starts to move her hand and I look behind to see they summoned a sword and it knocks me hard on the back of my head with the flat of the blade, but somehow I manage to open my verisa and teleport to the Eartheria base before passing out, vision fading into black as I hit the emerald floor.

A bright flash. I see mom standing in the doorway of our past house- Mom? "...I'll go to the shop, I'll be quick." She said with the sweet smile I remembered for years after she went. The mask of a smile, holding a lost soul. Something's wrong, I realize too late. "WAIT!" I yell, trying to stop her, but she walks out and fades, leaving me alone. Again. "Lily!" My dad calls out. He sounded... worried? Since when did he worry? "LILY!" I tried to speak but no words came out of my mouth and it feels like someone's shaking me, like an earthquake or something like that. Weird. "LILYPAD!"

The house vanished along with the sounds of crickets that were always surrounding it, but the shaking and yelling of my name was still evidently there. I opened my eyes and saw my orange- haired bunkmate Maple shaking me, yelling like there's no tomorrow. I swat her hand away, getting up and noticing we were in our room, which was blindingly bright when all the lights were on. I thought I told her not to do it when I was in the room, photosynthesis in the backyard instead... "What the heck happened?!?" My overexpressive bunkmate shouted. I rolled my eyes.

"What do you think? I literally told you I was going on a mission today." I got up from the bed, the bed squeaking a little bit as I rubbed my head. It's not that bad... I thought before Maple replied to my conversation with her sickenly teasing voice that I slightly like, don't tell her that though. "Well yea, but who was lucky enough to hit the untouchable Lily and knock her out?" The orange Earth planet- native waved her hands around and wiggled her fingers, sarcasm dripping from her voice.

I slapped her hands away from my face and groaned, standing up and grabbed my pocket knife that was on the counter, made of meteorites and my gift for entering the mission quadrant. "I'm going to the training room to train, don't wait up." I yelled over my shoulder. I'm never good enough at fighting, I need to improve more because I'm lame at everything. I told myself, which was true. The people who told me I was good at fighting were fools, because I couldn't even take one Moonlian with a missing arm! Even newbies could do that...

I approached the training room and slid my forest- green keycard into the slot, the door making a beep sound to confirm that I was granted access and opened. I walked in the room and the door shut automatically to ensure no intruders would get in while Earthios was training. Especially Moonlians... My brain added.

I approached a dummy made of wood and stabbed at it with my metorite knife 37 times in the chest. You're kind- of acting like an insane creature who would eat hands. I reminded myself before sighing and summoning my verisa and tapped the 4th slot, where my second- best bow was. The bow spawned in my hand and a quiver appeared on my back, with five arrows. I'll need to resupply later at the airdrop, I guess. I notched an arrow, but realized the dummy was still in shreds, so I carefully placed down the bow, releasing the arrow for a moment.

I waved my hand at the dummy, releasing my leaf- green magic and it repaired back to its former glory, which was actually being intact. I notched another arrow and aimed the point at the heart painted on the straw dummy. I drew back my bow and let go, the arrow just missing by an inch. Anger bubbles up in me and I equip my scythe from the verisa's third slot and unequipped the bow, swinging the scythe at the figure and cutting the head clean off, somehow making me happy, so I smiled brightly.

A beep sounded from the door as the mechanic opened, Willow walking in the room with a green keycard. "You look like a psychopath." He commented, leaves floating around his head as he walked closer to where I was training, choosing section B.

"Why did you have to choose the section next to me?" I demanded, mentally banging my head on the wall. Willow chuckled. "It's cute watching you try to avoid me." Try me. My thoughts snickered, my brain rejecting . "F#ck off." Was what I ended up saying, the other chuckling with a dangerous tone. "I could beat you in a millisecond." He tried sounding dangerous, but it was nothing I couldn't handle.

-Timeskip brought to you by Lilypad murdering Willow hypothetically-

I sat on Willow's back pointing a wooden sword next to his neck. "What you said?" I teased, putting salt into the wound. Willow scowled.

If I couldn't beat a person that lost an arm, at least I could beat Willow.

Hey! Welcome to my original book :]

It's a universe where planets are countries pretty much, with their own territories and attack head bases to plan battles, etc.

I hope you enjoyed it!
