"So...You don't work in your dad's company?"

Saewoo asked as she was seated on the brown russet leather chair as Taewon sat behind his desk, exasperated.

Nervousness rushed over him by her question,
"No I do. I just....Work there sometimes because this is my main business..."

Through his words he slowly dipped his head down in shame.

Saewoo was beyond shocked. Her best friends snubby and nerdy older brother, is a boss for an illegal gang business.

"But, how? I always thought you were an obedient child. You never did anything wrong and were always doing everything your dad said..how come you did...all this?"

Saewoo glanced around the office room as her eyes glowed, struggling to take everything in.
Taewon let out a weary sigh, his elbows placed on the wooden chestnut table.

"I was never obedient, Saewoo" He looked at her, her face heated up gazing into his tired eyes.

"I ran away from home many times when I was in high school. My 'good son' personality was just an act I put up for dad in sake of his reputation. I hated his company and didn't want to join it. So, I just...came across some friends and-"
He sighed, closing his eyes for a second. "-Stuff happened."

He stumbled on majority of his words while keeping his head low, staring down as Saewoo watched him speak. He wasn't the perfect, over protective snub she always thought.

Her eyes scanned him. As the sleeves of his dress shirt was folded up while his collar wide open with some buttons undone, the start of a huge tattoo that she was never aware of, peaked from his collar bone, trailing all the way down to his forearm probably.

Saewoo quickly shifted her gaze to the wall as she felt her heart race and cheeks redden.

It felt as if everything was back as it was in middle school.
The euphoric thunder she felt when stealing glances at him in hallways, nervousness when ever he walked by, not being able to make straight eye contact.

He was her crush.

She mentally cursed her childish thoughts and focused on the situation.
"What happens if Herin finds out you do all th-"
"She won't know."

He peered over her, his voice stern and harsh this time.
"I won't let her know a thing until it's...The right time or something...But for now...I don't plan on telling her anything, and till then,"

He stared into Saewoo's eyes, her eyes shaking as she just had a lot to take in, he continued "Please, Don't tell Herin anything."

Saewoo bit her bottom lip, keeping it hostage while thinking deep.
"I beg you Saewoo...Please."

His eyes were glinted in distress, litteraly pleading her.

"Okay..I won't say anything."
Taewon sighed as his eyes rolled back in relief, but soon fell on Saewoo's wrists.
She sat there, messaging her bruised red wrists while the heat of those hard ropes still circled her skin.
