September 12:
First Day Of Senior Year. I'm Not Sure How I Feel About This. Fairy Godmother Told Us Seniors To All Keep Diaries And Write Down What Happens To Us This Year. She Assigned It To Us During First Period Which We're In The Middle Of Right Now. It's Actually Pretty Nice Because She Said This Is Our Only Assignment For This Class. I Look On Either Side Of Me. Uma's On My Right, Trying To Hide The Fact That She's Looking At Her Phone Instead Of Writing In Her Diary (UMA! IF YOU SEE THIS, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T MURDER ME FOR WRITING THAT!). To My Left Is Ben. He's Busy Writing In His Diary. He's Cleared About Twenty Pages. He'll Go Through About Six Or Seven Books By Christmas. I Smile To Myself. Fairy Godmother Said We Could Decorate Our Covers If We Wanted, So I Already Drew Little Crowns On His. He Hasn't Seen It Yet. I Did It When He Got Up To Sharpen His Pencil And Turned Back To The Page Where He Was Before He Got Back. I Want It To Be A Surprise. I Look Around The Room. There Aren't A Whole Lot Of Others Who Are Writing. Jane Is Of Course Because She Doesn't Want To Fail Her Own Mother's Class, But Besides The Two Of Us And Ben, I Think That's Pretty Much It. Carlos And Gil Have Their Chairs Turned Toward Each Other And Are Talking Which Fairy Godmother Told Us We Could Do As Long As We Actually Get The Assignment Done, So She's Not Really Lecturing Them. Harry And Audrey Have Been Holding Hands Under Their Desks Basically Since Fairy Godmother Started Letting Us Write In Peace. Doug's Right In Front Of Harry And Audrey. He's Turned Around And Rolling His Eyes At Them. I Can't See Evie's Face, But I'm Pretty Sure She's Trying To Figure Out A Way That She And Doug Can Hold Hands. Jay's Next To Evie. I Think He's Pretending To Work, But I See Right Through Him. He's Been Holding His Pen In The Same Place Since Fairy Godmother Let Us Start Working Which Was Over An Hour Ago. The Warning Bell Just Rang So We Have To Start Packing Everything.
