Getting settled

It certainly felt like a win in the short woman's mind, she had made a good first impression so far and fact that the hostess was flattered, and seemingly genuinely so, instead of being creeped out by the blonde's subtle flirting was also a good sign. "it's my ultimate pleasure"

Countess watched silently and respectfully as Alcina gave her daughters their task but seeing them simultaneously burst into a swarm of millions of bugs was probably the most impressive thing she had ever witnessed. She watched with eyes wide and a big wonder filled smile as they all flew off, she couldn't help herself from exclaiming an impressed. "holy shit—!" before clasping her hand over her mouth. She cursed softly under her breath, having already broken her rule of not appearing crass to her very upper class new friend, but she shyly regained her composure the moment the lady of the house started to speak. "no not at all! I must apologize for my language, but that has to be the most fantastic thing I have ever witnessed! They certainly are incredibly special, you should be very proud." Countess herself had not gone into too much detail about her one biological son or her 'adopted' hive of children in her letter but she figured that would be mother to mother conversation for later.

Bending down to pick up her purse she nodded with a smile. "I would love that, all of that. Your home is immaculate so far and I would be more than delighted to take a tour!"
tilting her head slightly like a dog she took in the rule that had been laid out to her, making a mental note to never go against it. "understood, darling. And besides, I don't think I'll be needing to embrace the cold any time soon." a soft laugh escaped her lips as she pulled the long fur stole tighter around her cold frame. "it's far colder here than it ever gets in California, so rest assured no windows or doors will be opened to the outside."
With that she strode across the main room, stilettos rhythmically clicking against the hard floors as she made her way over to the woman who was even taller seeming now that she was within reach.

Alcina couldn't help but let out a sincere, velvet-y chuckle. "No apologies needed, dear. We're quite used to having that response to those that see it. Consider yourself lucky you get to admire their ability up close that safely. Those that typically see such don't live to see the light of day." She purred, a sick sense of pride clear in her voice. The amount of 'livestock' just her three daughters alone had murdered was definitely in the hundreds by now. As the petite blonde approached, Alcina tried to soften herself a little, definitely embracing the more charming aspects of her personality. Normally she reveled in her stature and the power she wielded over others, and while Countess was certainly beneath her in rank, she wanted to make her feel welcome. For once she didn't want her appearance to intimidate another.

She resisted the urge to pat the small woman on the head, turning instead to gesture about the main hall, trying to keep her hands busy. "I do apologize for the cold, it seems I've gotten used to it. Luckily we have fire places around the castle lit at all times for such, amongst...other reasons." The last part was spoken with a sinister purr. "Anyhow, this here is the Main Hall."

Alcina made her way down the stairs on their right, leading out into a wide room with four statues and a gated door. "We do have maps around the castle should you get lost. This room here is what we refer to as 'The Hall of the Four', it's to honor House Dimitrescu...as well as the other lords." She spoke with visible disdain, unable to hide her annoyance for a brief moment. "Consider yourself lucky, darling. For you stand in the domain of the best lord in this village."

She pointed to a door to their left offhandedly before making her way across the marble floor, the sound of her black heels echoing in the large room, moving to the right. "That there is the Duke's room. He's a...businessman, of sorts. One of the few that have free reign to visit. Should you ever need anything while he's also visiting, he'll be able to accommodate you, for the right price, anyway." Continuing on her trek, Alcina made her way all the way to the right, opening a door to another hall, ducking to move through the door.
