Kim Namjoon woke up early one fall morning, his fading blue hair disheveled from anxiously rolling around all night. The decoration of his room was simple, but had many aspects of his personality, like the wall of orange bear plushies, resembling a character named Ryan.

Namjoon had just turned 15, and as an early gift, his parents allowed him to dye his hair bright blue over the summer. Luckily, colored hair was allowed at his school, Ethereal Cloud Academy for Witches and Wizards. He was starting his 5th year there this year, and he was thrilled.

After crawling out of bed to take a shower and do his skincare, he walked downstairs to the kitchen, where one of his brothers was already sitting down. He pulled out a chair to sit next to his eldest brother, Seokjin. Seokjin was 17 years old and would be starting his seventh year at ECA. At the academy, he was very popular for his excelling in every skill and of course, for his purple hair. Seokjin was also allowed to dye his hair for the first time when he turned 15, and had kept it purple since.

"Taehyung, come get your bags and broom!" Their dad called. Taehyung was only a year younger than Namjoon, and would be starting his fourth year at ECA.

"Coming!" Taehyung answered from upstairs. After a moment, he could be heard rushing down the steps. After Taehyung retrieved his bags and broom, their dad called Namjoon over to where both parents were standing.

"Haerin is going to be starting her first year at the academy and as her older brother, you will be in charge of making sure nothing happens to her. You know how she is with her uh, clumsiness," Namjoon's dad stated, whispering the last word as though Haerin could hear from her room on the second floor.

Namjoon groaned as he said, "Why me and not Seokjin? He's the eldest out of all of us!"

"Seokjin will be starting his last year at the academy, which is usually the most hectic year so he won't have time to watch Hae-" Namjoon's mom started, until she was interrupted with a loud thump, which came from 11-year-old Haerin. She had tripped on the top step and fell all the way down the steps.

"I'm okay!" Haerin exclaimed, wiping the dust off her skirt. Namjoon looked at his parents with a look that screamed, Do I seriously have to deal with that all year?

"I know this seems unfair, but it is of the utmost importance that Haerin isn't seen as an incapable witch, especially since your father is on the Council. Our family has a reputation to keep. The World of Magic is quite small, so word gets around quite quickly." Namjoon's mom finished.

"Okay fine, I'll watch her.." Namjoon groaned.

"Thank you, Joon." Namjoon's dad chimed in.

Namjoon simply nodded and sat back down to finish eating his breakfast. Haerin plopped next to him with her own plate. She was already wearing her school uniform, which consisted of a pink pleated skirt with a white button-up along with a pink tie.

The male uniform was the exact same but instead of a skirt, they had pants. The accent colors on each individual's uniform was customizable, to provide a sense of freedom to the students.. The style of clothing was also customizable with the weather and preference. For example, there were skirts that come up above the knee, and two longer lengths if someone was uncomfortable with wearing a shorter skirt. Seokjin had chosen purple, Taehyung dark green, and Namjoon simply chose gray.

After the Kim siblings are done eating and ready to go to school, they say goodbye to their parents. Their parents did mention to Haerin that Namjoon will be keeping an eye on her throughout the whole school year. Haerin was ecstatic to spend more time with her brother, who was not as excited as her.
