Paintings hung heavy on the old walls, thick with dried and crusted paint.

The smallest of noises glided across the wide walls, letting everyone walking through the hallway know what was happening.

The staff has tried making it less likely to echo, hanging these paintings and placing potted plants around. They tried almost everything to quiet it down without disturbing the elegancey, but failed.

The walls echoed no matter how many objects lay inside, students of Alejandro's Music Academy don't dare make a conversation in the fear someone on the other end of the large building might hear, or worse, one of the older staff members.

The only thing hearable would be the wind blowing inside the building from some of it's open windows and footsteps.

Wilbur particularly hated that they had to wear shoes similar to tapping shoes. They made unnecessary noise and the school had more than a thousand students.

Someone dropped a book, whispering a 'sorry' that was loud enough for others to hear due to the echoing.

The book slammed the porcelain floor, making a noise that floated as far as the halfway point of the castle-like building.

The freshmen that hadn't gotten quick reflexes to sound yet suffered from the sound, older students were quick to cover their ears.

One of the main rules the students from classes above yours will teach you is to never have your hands ocupied if possible. Books should always be in your bags, your mp3 player in your back pocket (the first one is just deep enough for your hands, you might accidentaly slide the mp player out).

Drinks should stay in a tight hold, a bag pocket, or not carried at all. The floor is a nightmare to clear if stained.

Any playing music in your earbuds should be on a) the lowest setting or b) turned off. It might echo.

If you see someone cover their ears, don't hesitate to follow. Never hesitate to cover your ears, someone might have dropped something and is warning those around them to cover, spread the silent warning and show the action.

Take sign language in the Languages Club. You will need it. If you are playing music for practise, do it in a padded room, your room, or outside in one of the gardens.

Under no circumstances go into room 412, it's door is always under lock and key. Rumor says Alejandro's very own piano sits there, collecting dust and listening to the soft echoes of Tschaikovsky's Valse Sentimatale that echoes every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:35 PM sharp.
