I can feel my eyes get bigger as I take in what I see. There is food everywhere. Beef jerky, chips, candy, soda, even ice cream! Somehow the electricity still works here. I run to a bag of chips and check the expiration date. They're not expired until next year! I hit the mother load!
I run out so quick I stumble and almost fall. Words can't describe how happy I am.
"Kevin, come to the back and check the room. You won't believe what you see."
His curiosity shows all over his face.
"What is it?" He asks. "I'm obviously not gonna tell you, or else I would have already. Just come look."
He closes the drawer to the counter, and follows me to the back. I doubt he found anything in there, but props to him for trying.
We enter the room and his reaction is almost priceless, well it would be, if we still had prices.
"Whoa! It's like food palace! If I had seen this a month ago I would have thought it was "alot" but it's now it's ALOT." He says excitingly.
"I know. Let's go tell the others so we can pack up as much as we can and head out." I say. "Oh! Do you know what would be a good idea? Suitcases! That would hold so much more than our backpacks, hopefully we find some." I add.
I can't believe I never bothered to look for a suitcase...
