chapter one <3

we had just had a break from hogwarts, the term before Christmas everyone was exited to go back there except me, i come from a wizarding family so it's basically in the blood for me to go to hogwarts, but for some reason I don't want to go back.

Me and my sister packed our bags and set off we got to the hogwarts express, amalie sat with her friends and i sat with mine.

"marli!! I've missed you." Aria said whilst hugging me.

I love arias hugs, feels like a childhood dream she's one of the kindest people I've ever met. I said hi to everyone and sat down well everyone except draco malfoy, we don't get along that well but it's a civil friendship so we have to put up with eachover.

finally we got to hogwarts i have my own dorm and pansy is just next door! aria across the hallway just like it's always been. I unpacked my stuff and went to the great hall to get supper, we all ate our soup and walked back to our dorms.

knocks**

"who is that" i softly said.

It was a new boy I've never seen before.

"Is your name marli". He said with a smile.

"oh yes it is how come" I softly chuckled.

"you dropped something"

"oh my gosh thankyou" i smiled

it was a necklace my grandma gave me before she passed, it has my name engraved on it with a quote on the inside. "a glow stick must break before it shines" I will forever live by that.

"no problem it's beautiful" he spoke

"thankyou"

"no worries again, see you around" he said walking away.

woah, as I climbed into my bed I couldn't stop thinking about this boy and- shit I don't even know his name, for gods sake marli! I fell asleep not long after that.

(the boys POV *)

I have never seen a girl so pretty, her hair, her name, her eyes- stop!! You haven't even give her your name. tomorrow I'm determined to find marli and give her my name and ask her to study together. yes

Today I woke up and felt happy! I never wake up happy haha, as I walked through the corridors with a smile on my face... malfoy fucking malfoy.

"hello marls" he said.

he always calls me marls it's annoying.

"yes draco." I laughed.

"Who was that outside of your dorm last night." he looked slightly angry.

"None of your business." I walked off to the great hall.

there he was I walked up to him tapped him on the shoulder...

"hey again" i said.

"oh hi you." he spoke with a smirk.

"you never gave me your name." I laughed.

"hmm seems like I didn't, my name is zach."

"cute name zach." I smirked and walked to the table with my friends.

I ate my pancakes and walked straight to my room, I felt sick I couldn't keep these pancakes in my system anymore I sat by my toilet and used my fingers to throw up. I heard my door open, it was malfoy? I could tell by his annoying little voice. I quickly stood up and walked out the bathroom.

"marli what have you Just been doing." he said with pure anger.

"Nothing it's not your business." my heart dropped.

"Whatever u slut, god u piss me off marli!!" He walked out.

I walked to my spells lesson, there was a new seating plan and... I was next to zach!! yes!

"hey zach"

"hey marli" :)

draco and blaise were behind us and draco wouldn't stop going about his stupid holiday, so i turned around saying-

"Malfoy shut it your too loud!!"

"Or what slut gonna get your dad on me" he laughed.

"That was too fucking far draco" blaise said.

"shit" draco whispered

zach turned around and said,

"what the fuck is wrong with you".

"Marli are you okay." He kindly spoke rubbing my back.

I silenced everything off you see I don't have this perfect life everyone thinks i have. My eyes made my dizzy. I ran out of the class as fast as I could pushing past people in the corridors my eyes felt like heavy boulders as I held my tears in. I got back to my dorm, lay on my bed and screamed into a pillow I couldn't believe what draco had just said.

Another knock at the door*

"Marli"

it was zach.

"come in"

There were a few bruises on my arm, he noticed them instantly. Marli what is this-

"It's nothing I fell." With tears flooding my sight.

"don't lie to me."

" honestly he didn't mean to it was my fault i annoyed him."

he kissed my arm where the bruises were.

"Promise me you'll never hurt yourself marli."

"yes I promise."
