Hybrid Hibernation

Technoblade being a piglin hybrid means he has his ups and downs. His ups being that he is stronger than others and his downs being the need to hibernate.

Once a year or so piglins would gather in their packs and create a nest and hibernate for the next 2-8 weeks. Techno being a hybrid means that he to has to hibernate, but that doesn't mean he likes it.

It is natural for piglins to snuggle with the other members of their pack for warmth and the feeling of protection. But Techno isn't that kind of guy.
Whenever Techno felt the need to hibernate he would just crawl into bed alone, not caring to make a nest of some sort or find a packmate. But it didn't feel right. Techno knew someday he should probably tell Phil about his need to hibernate properly, but he couldn't find the right time. Phil was always busy when it came to the hibernating time of year so Techno didn't want to bother him.

But one year when Techno was curling up into his bed ready for his long sleep, Phil walked in.
"Hey ma- why are you going to sleep so early?"
Techno was startled by Phil's appearance and jumped up. Techno didn't know what to say, he knew he should probably tell Phil the truth. "It's -uh- I.." Began Techno, trying to figure out how to tell phil.
"Wait..are you hibernating?!" Asked Phil, clearly intrigued. "...yes" answered Techno carefully. "I didn't know how to tell you but I AM half piglin after all..."
"Oh I know I know," said Phil "I just didn't know you did it. Are you sure your meant to use a bed and not a nest?" He asked.
"What?" Asked Techno, "If I'm being completely honest Phil I don't know how to properly hibernate, I've always just gone to bed and stayed there till I'm not tired anymore." Said Techno, not making eye contact with Phil. "Wh- I- what do you not know? I can tell you what you need saying as I know a lot about this stuff." Phil replied clearly shocked Techno had been ignoring his instincts all these years.
"I- I don't know anything really, all I know is that piglins would hibernate at least once a year and wake up weeks later but that's all.." Techno said, not sure why it meant so much.
"Oh dear god Techno you shouldn't ignore your instincts like that, I need to tell you everything." Phil said and picked up a couple of books and sat down at the table and patted the seat beside him, "Sit.You need to know how to live alongside your instincts Techno."

Phil looked consecrated. Almost excited to be teaching Techno something new to him.
Phil knew a lot about hybrids and things like that. Phil was one himself. He was part avian, hence the wings. Phil himself didn't have to hibernate but he knew a lot about it. He had read about it in books and had saw piglins in the nether doing things that piglins would do normally. Techno on the other hand wasn't like the other piglins, Techno was more stubborn and had been ignoring his instinct to hibernate for as long as he lived. But there was other things about Techno that Phil had noticed; Piglins would be very social creatures and would depend on others in their pack a lot.
But Techno didn't have a pack. Techno had Phil. And Phil wasn't a piglin. And Techno wasn't the kind of person to ask for help or depend on Phil but Phil knew deep down inside that Techno appreciated Phil a lot more than he let on. Phil was almost like family to Techno.

Phil explained to Techno all about hibernating with other pack mates, close friends or family. He explained to Techno that piglins had to hibernate in groups for the feeling of safety and comfort.
Techno was taking in every detail. He could relate to a few of the things. He wouldn't admit it but he had the same instincts as normal piglins, the need of a close friend to rely on. He wouldn't say to Phil's face how much he actually appreciated Phil and Phil's company. Techno had known Phil for years and years as he could remember and Phil was always there when Techno needed him, and Techno for Phil.

"So your saying I should build a nest out of pillows and blankets to recreate the feeling of a nest that piglins would use to hibernate in?" Asked Techno, trying to recall what Phil said. "Yes. A comfortable spot for you to sleep and rest properly."
Techno liked the idea of a warm cozy nest to sleep in for the next few weeks, he could already feel the tiredness creeping up on him.
"Ok so I guess I'll get to that now?" He said.
"Sure. I'll be outside if you need me." Replied Phil.
