Nightmares kept haunting me in my slumber

Nightmares kept haunting me in my slumber. The theme would either be me being stuck or being chased by something. One night, I dreamt of being in a garden full of beautiful flowers. A red rose caught my attention so I walked towards it to get a closer view. As I got nearer the rose, its redness was gradually fading and when I was about to touch it, its thorns grew out and pointed towards me as if wanting to prick me. I ran away from the rose and its thorns kept chasing me.

Another one was my African Safari dream. The girls and I were on a safari tour and we were in a four-wheeler closed-type vehicle in the middle of a savanna. The view was stupendous and wildlife animals were freely roaming around. Our mesmerism to nature's beauty was interrupted when the vehicle faltered. Its engine could not start and we were stuck in the middle of a wildlife habitat. A lion from a distance was making its way in our direction and we were aghast. Panic and dread filled the vehicle when the lion was up close to us, scanning the domestic creatures behind the closed windows. It circled around the vehicle with its eyes staring fiercely at us. This must be how it felt like being caged in a zoo, being spectacles to other creatures. At one point, our eyes met and I saw its big round brown eyes, its gape so intense to the point of hypnotizing. We barely moved and its mere presence was enough to make us freeze to death. Someone suddenly bursted into tears and cried due to fright. Sensing this, the lion started attacking the four-wheeler. Its jabs were brief but so powerful that we moved inside every time it hit the vehicle. It went up the roof then down again hitting the windows. This time, the lion looked mad. My mind went blank and every part of me was trembling. The last scene I saw was the lion opening its mouth and showing its sharp canine as if preparing to devour us.
