•Schlanti's pov•
I laughed loudly. Who knew a random person you meet at a bus stop could be so funny?
I was just waiting for the bus, since my car broke down and I had to go to the store. That's when this random person came and sat next to me, and we started talking to each other.
I really liked this person, platonically of course. So I decided to ask for their name.
"What's your name?" I asked.
"Schlannie, what's yours?" they answered.
My face fell.
"Schlan- Schlanti..." I stuttered, my voice fading off as I got lost in my thoughts again.
Schlannie's face fell too.
We both realized we'd been talking to the person we were forbidden to even look at. I should've known.
The light brown fur that covered their eyes, the horns, the ears, the soft blue sweater...it all fit the description I was given.
The bus came, and I immediately got up and went to the back of the bus. I was scared that maybe someone recognized us, then I'd be doomed.

I felt bad for Schlanti. They seemed so scared. I should be scared too, I should hate them, I shouldn't feel bad for them. But we were having such a good time until they asked my name.
Honestly I was kind of being stupid. They fit the exact description I was given. Blue fur, dark blue eyes, the gloves, and a deer tail.
As I stepped into the bus's musty, hot environment, I saw Schlanti staring out the window, distracted.
I never cared about the dumb "don't talk to Schlanti" rule. It was always dumb to me, and now it seemed even dumber.
Schlanti didn't seem like a bad person. They actually seemed like a great, strong person, but I wasn't supposed to think that. I was supposed to think they were soft and sensitive.
I looked around for a seat and realized that the only empty seat was next to Schlanti. A feeling of dread came over me. I knew Schlanti wasn't anything like they'd been described, but the fact I'd believed it for so long gave even glancing their way such a...forbidden feeling.
I quickly made my way to the seat and awkwardly plopped down on to the padded seat.
Schlanti was so lost in thought I didn't even bother trying to get their attention. It was better to leave them alone anyways. I didn't want to scare them.
They looked blankly out the window, the sun shining on their very noticeable blue hair. Their chin rested gently on their palm. I brushed a chunk of hair out from over my eyes.
I found myself admiring their features. I had to admit, they were beautiful.
The bus haulted to a stop. It announced where we were, and apparently that was where Schlanti was going, because they looked away from the window finally, a small mark on their chin from where their hand was placed.
We both locked eyes and Schlanti had a mini, very obvious heart attack. They immediately got up and ran out the door. I was left with a tinge of loneliness now that they were gone.
I was looking forward to telling neutral about this.
