ryo swung the door to his penthouse wide open. from the skylights, he could see the downpour that had been going on for hours. ryo had been busy all day, working on papers was more time consuming than he remembered.
"akira, Im home" ryo announced. He expected to find his boyfriend sitting on the leather couch cuddled up in a blanket, considering the fact that he did that most nights. but today seemed different. akira was seemingly not home. disappointed that he couldnt get a welcome home kiss, ryo sat down in his usual spot on the sofa.[10:56 PM]
though the weather was already foul, the thunder outside began to worsen. muffled crying could be heard from the closet. thats when ryo realized what happened to akira. dashing over to the closet door, he knelt on the floor and hugged akira.(edited)
"Im so sorry. I was an idiot leaving you alone during a storm like this." ryo wiped away the tears from the devilmans face. akira may be a devil, but his sweet and tender human heart is what made someone like satan fall in love with him.
"he may be a crybaby," ryo whispered. "but hes my crybaby."
through his little hiccups and gasps for air, akira managed to get a few words out.
"please dont be mean to yourself right now." akira mumbled. ryo stayed quiet while thinking of an appropriate response.
"youre right baby, how can I help you?" though he may seem cold from the outside, ryo had a secret soft spot for his crybaby. he cradled him in his arms and wiped away the tears again. he could tell that akira was trying to think of what to say.
"just be here for me, okay?" another tear fell from his face. ryo stood up and offered a hand to his boyfriend.
"hey darling, just come here with me. Ill take you to my bed so you can get all cozy and warm. Ill make some tea too. how does that sound." with this offer, akiras face warmed up. he nodded and stood up.
"thank" he whispered to ryo. a tender kiss followed. ryo looked to his side. akira was sheepishly smiling back at him.
"thats my happy boy." ryo pushed his lips against his boyfriends.
