Hooked at love

Chapter 4

Two days later it was Darion's birthday. He didn't go to work today and slept out. Chenna and the children prepared quiet breakfast for him.

"Would someone please look for the bacon again? !" she shouted into the kitchen and Larissa stepped up to the stove.
"I'll do that", she shouted back and took care of the delicious smelling bacon in the pan.
"Shay also wants to help", says Shay, plucking Larissa's grey sweater pants.
"No, you can't help me. But why don't you go to the table and finish the picture for Daddy, yes?" she says and Shay nods sadly. He runs to the table and climbs up to his chair, just at that moment Katarina storms into the kitchen with a bouquet of flowers.
"I'm back and have the bouquet", she says completely out of atoms and uncovers the bouquet. It was a mix of pink, white and purple colored flowers. Chenna comes out of the next room and puts a vase in front of Katarina. Katarina puts the flowers inside and pours water.
"How far is the breakfast?" Chenna asks and stands behind Larissa.
"Almost done. " she reports and Chenna kisses Larissa gratefully on her hair.
"Thank you sweetheart" She walks over to Shay and sits down next to him.
"And how far is the little man with the picture?" she asks curiously and Shay proudly shows her the painted picture.
"Ready", he said happily and puts it in her face.
"That looks perfect. Daddy will be happy", she said and takes the picture in her hand.
"Katarina could you bring a tray from the next room?" she asks and Katarina nods. She brings the tray and Chenna puts up a white, medium-sized plate.
"Larissa's the bacon and the eggs ready? "
"Jap" answers Larissa and puts the food on the plate.
"Now the bouquet", she says, taking it in her hand and putting it on the tray, "and at last the picture", she finishes her putting and sticking shay's picture under the plate.
"I'll take it up to him. Remember that you guys got ready for the party later? I guess we'll be down here in 10 minutes", she said, leaving the kitchen.
"When are our guests coming again?" asks Katarina and Larissa answers with a laughed answer:
"At 2pm they will arrive. So in 4 hours, everything chill"
"You should always allow enough time to finish. 4 hours is not that much", says Katarina.
"let's get the presents", Larissa goes out of the kitchen. Katarina's running after her. Larissa goes to her room and Katarina goes to her's. After both girls got the presents for their father, they met again in the kitchen.

"Do you have all this for father?" asks Katarina and comes into the kitchen with a box under her arm.
"Yes. Is that too much? "
"Well, he'll be happy", says Katarina and places the box, wrapped in blue gift box, next to Larissa.
Shay climbs onto a chair and looks at the presents with big eyes.
"What's in there?" he asks, trying to remove an elongated box.
"Not shay. They're for Daddy", says Larissa and takes it out of his hand.
"What in there?" he asks again.
"You will see when Daddy opens the presents. " says Katarina and gives him another chair.
"Fit" says Larissa and puts her index finger in front of her mouth. "I think they're coming", she said, turning off the light and hiding under the table. Katarina follows her and takes Shay with her. As all three knelt under the table, Katarina whispered in Shay's ear:
"Psst, now very quiet little man"
The kitchen door is opened and Darion and Chenna entered the dark kitchen.
"It's funny why the lights are out here. The girls were here before", she says surprised and had to hold back a grin.
"They're probably out playing with Shay", she says, turning to him.
"I'll go get them, sit down at the table", she says and leaves the kitchen. Darion turns on the light and turns to the table. The three children jump up and shout at the same time:
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY " Darion is terrified and holds his right hand on the like side of his chest.
"For God's sake, you kids scared me!" he says and the three start laughing. Chenna entered the room and laughed.
"That's not funny", he still says in shock.
"Are you all right?" Chenna asked with a smile and kissed him on the cheek. Darion looks at her and nodded.
"All the good father", says Katarina and hugged him. Larissa and Shay did it too. Katarina went to the table and gave him her present.
"Sit down, darling", Chenna says and everyone sat down at the table.
"Open mine first", Katarina said immediately, pointing to the present in his hand. Darion nods and opened it. Apparently, a calendar with pictures came up with it of her own. Darion's starting to laugh.
"That can only come from you", he says, kissing his daughter on the forehead.
"Thank you dear", he thanked.
"Now mine!" shouted shay, pointing to an upside down piece of paper. Darion took it in hand and smiled. Shay had taken another picture of him. Thereupon he was seen shay, Chenna, Larissa and Katarina in front of their house.
"it's beautiful. I'm proud of you", he says, taking shay out of his chair and hugged him.
"Now Larissas", Chenna said, took his shay off, pointing to the rest of the presents.
"They're all yours, Larissa?" he asks and Larissa nods. He picked up the long box first. He unpacked it and the Seiko watch came out. He stared at the clock and took it in his hand. He turned as well and looked at her completely once.
"She's beautiful, thank you Larissa", he says, smiling. Larissa smiled back at him when she saw the watch she had to think of Tynan again and smiled even more.
Tynan was right, he likes her
"she has more", says Katarina, pointing again at the rest. He unpacked them after each other and rejoiced each time. After he unpacked everybody, Larissa gave him a black envelope.
"More?" he asks in amazement and takes him in his hand.
"This is for both of you", says Larissa, smiling at Chenna.
"What?" asks Chenna in amazement and watched her husband carefully open the envelope. A snow-white card with golden lettering appeared. He took them out and read quietly to himself. After he finished reading, he first looked at Chenna and then Larissa. Chenna took the card from him and read it too.
"Larissa honey", she just says and puts the envelope back down.
"It's all settled. I'll take good care of Shay and if anything happens since you're not far away. I booked it just like that. " she says with a smile and Chenna came to her and hugged her.
"Thank you, sweetheart" she says and sits down again.
"Thank you my sweetie", her father says and kissed her on the forehead.
