Lyra walburga black was the twin sister of Sirius orion black. Lyra and Sirius had always been expected to follow the pureblood supremacies as per taught to them but both believed that it was just complete and utter bullshit. The twins still attended the balls and parties hosted by the purebloods because they had no other choice as their parents forced them. They would just stand at the side and talk to each other. They were also expected to be in slytherin and make pureblood friends and eventually marry someone who was a slytherin pureblood to keep the line going. Well who would've expected what life had in store for each of them.
Today was the day they were going to Hogwarts and needless to say they were very excited. Lyra had already packed her bag and she had taken some of her favourite novels that she had already read thousands of times to read at Hogwarts.
Sirius also packed his bags, he didn't take any novels though seeing as he wasn't interested in reading. He could not stand books which didn't have any pictures in them. He was just sitting on the windowsill of his room, looking out of the window, thinking about how he was going to prank people at Hogwarts.
But, both of them were just happy to be away from their horrible family as they called it.

The black family arrived at platforms 93/4 at the king's cross station. It was littered with people. Some parents who were crying, kissing their children on the foreheads, saying goodbye to them. Lyra couldn't believe that some parents actually showed any kind of love towards their children. She also wanted the kind of parents who would just accept her for being whatever she wanted to be. She wanted a mother who wouldn't get mad at her if she got a few pimples on her face. She wanted a father with whom she could laugh and talk freely. But she knew could never have that.
'' Look at the mudbloods!'' spat walburga.
''They don't deserve to be here'' agreed orion, disgusted with the muggle-borns.
The twins shared a look.
Walbura put a hand on the shoulders of the twins and said ''I know I've said this so many times already but don't you dare talk to those filthy – things!''
''you know us mother—''
''--we would never!''
The sarcasm in their voices could be heard from miles away but apparently it didn't quite reach walburga and orion.
It was now 10:55, meaning it was time the twins go in the train and off to Hogwarts. So, they said goodbye to their parents, only to receive a ''hmm'' from them. Sirius already stepped inside the train, not waiting for lyra who was still outside saying goodbye to their younger brother, regulus black.
Regulus seemed sad that his siblings were going to leave him but lyra assured him that they would come back for Christmas.

''I'll miss you too.''
And with that, she stepped in on the train and went to find her stupid twin whom she loved dearly.
After checking a lot of compartments, apologising to those who got disturbed by her, cracking a joke with a girl named Marlene McKinnon, she finally found the compartment where her brother was sitting with a pretty red-haired girl, a greasy haired boy and a messy jet-black haired boy who she knew to be James potter.
She met him while she was shopping for her books at flourish and blotts in diagon alley.

She had just opened a book called ''quidditch through the ages'' when the boy peeked into her book and let out an exciting gasp.
