Sasha looked at Bayley and could feel the different emotions she was going through. It was hard to tell which emotion was more dominant. "Roman, if you were watching over her, why didn't you try to help her?" Sasha asked. Roman knew this question would come up at some point. "I tried when Bayley graduated college. I wanted her to work here, but she was placed at that military base to work. I had talks with your mom to let you apply here in Boston." Roman said. "So, why wasn't I allowed to apply, and why wasn't I told about this?" Bayley asked.
Linda knew she had to tell Bayley the truth and couldn't get around it anymore. "I just couldn't let you go! I didn't want you to leave even though I knew you were depressed. I knew after the accident, you felt betrayed, and the depression got worse. All I wanted was for you to stay. I was being selfish and looked passed how you were feeling. All I did was push you further away and more into depression. The day you left, it broke my heart, and your father warned me about you leaving. He would come to me in my dreams and warn me that I would leave this earth if things didn't change, then you disappeared and changed your name. I didn't know where to find you so I asked Roman to find you. Once Roman found you, I went to your apartment like I said. That's how I found out you can shift without the full moon. I couldn't believe you had no furniture except for the dog bed. I was more puzzled why you didn't have anything in your apartment. Then I figured you would be on the move again. The only thing I don't know is how Rick found you. The few times I watched you come home, I noticed you looked smaller. I worried you would die if I couldn't get you back home with me." Linda said.
"I never wanted to return, but you got sick, and Rick told me I needed to help you. He promised it would be different, but it wasn't." Bayley said. Sasha realizes Eddie stepped in to stop Bayley from acting on her plans. "You were going to kill yourself! That's why your dad stepped in and wanted you to help your mom. He knew you were close to whatever you were working on." Sasha said. Bayley couldn't look anyone in the eye because Sasha was right. Sasha lifted Bayley's chin and looked into her eyes. "I understand how you were feeling during that time. I'm thankful for your dad stepping in." Sasha said, pulling Bayley into a hug.
"We can talk when we get home. We are so much alike in our personal life." Sasha whispers to Bayley. Bayley hugged Sasha back tightly and said, "I love you!" Roman went to his vault and pulled out a silver vial. Sasha wasn't sure what it was but could tell Bayley knew it. "How did you get that?" Bayley asked. "I was watching when Rick's car came and got you later that night. I went inside your apartment to make sure you didn't leave anything. I found this on the floor and brought it back here. I tested it and realized what it does. I decided I would keep a closer eye on you from that point on." Roman said.
"What is that?" Linda asked with concern. "It's liquid silver that will stop rebirth, and if you take enough of it, it could kill the person," Bayley said. Sasha could tell Bayley wanted to take it from Roman. Sasha put her hand on Bayley's shoulder from moving forward. "You don't need that anymore," Sasha said to Bayley. "But it's mine!" Bayley said. "I don't care! Did you make any more of it?" Sasha and Linda both asked. "No, just that; I got busy working on the cure to care about the vial," Bayley said, never taking her eyes off the vial. "Roman, you didn't recreate the substance, did you?" Once again, Linda and Sasha asked.
"No, Bayley had added an element that I can't figure out. I destroyed what I was working on and kept the regional sample." Roman said. Roman could tell Bayley still wanted it. "You're still planning on using this, aren't you?" Roman asked. Bayley put her head down and said yes. "Why would you want to do that? You have me and the babies?" Sasha said, hurt. "If something happens to you and the kids, I don't want to go on without you," Bayley said.
"I want that destroyed now, and you are not allowed to make any more of it, Bayley," Sasha said angrily. Linda agreed with Sasha and was mad at Roman for keeping it. "Why didn't you destroy it? What if it got out that Bayley made something like this? Is there any information or writer material on this?" Linda asked. Linda looked at both Roman and Bayley for the answers. "I have the information in my notebook that I carry with me," Bayley said, pulling out the book. Bayley opened the book and showed her mom and Sasha. "I want all those pages!" Sasha said to Bayley. Sasha could tell Bayley didn't want to give it up. "Bayley, I know it's your work, but if this gets out, it could wipe out different spices. I get you created for yourself, but what if it got out?" Sasha asked.
"It already did, in a way! I think Rick gave the idea to Black. But just like Roman, they can figure out the last element in the drug." Bayley said. "Bayley, did you figure out what they are missing to make the drug stronger?" Roman asked. "Yes, but I'm going to keep it to myself. Black doesn't know how to stop the healing or rebirth element. I noticed my mom heeled more when she shifted, and the vampire heeled during their death sleep. I don't even have it written in my notes." Bayley said.
"Why would you think Rick would have given the information to Black?" Linda asked. "Rick owes Black for helping him with his campaign. Becky told me Black had a meeting with Rick at the White House as well. They still are having the meeting." Roman said. "Is Charlotte in danger?" Linda asked. "No, not at this time. I don't believe Rick has given Bayley away yet. We need to visit Rick." Roman said. "Bayley, how did you know Rick gave the information?" Linda asked.
"One day, I got to my lab, and I noticed my stuff was looked through. I never keep anything there; I take it so no one can get it. Rick happened to be at the lab that day. He opened my notebook and stopped on this page. I hadn't filled in all the information but noticed when I started working on the drug it was the first part of what I created." Bayley said. "Now, do you see how important it is to destroy that stuff now!" Sasha said. All Bayley could do was shake her head yes. "You are a talented scientist, and it shows in your work. I think Rick wanted this drug made to keep Bayley in line. I know you don't want to hear that, Linda, but I don't think he planned for Black to use it himself." Roman said.
Sasha could tell that Linda wasn't happy with this information. "I want you two to stay here. We need to talk to Rick. Do you agree with that, Linda?" Roman asked. "First, I'm sorry again for putting us in this situation. But we will get to the bottom of this." Linda said. "Sasha, make sure you two stay here until we return," Roman said. With that, Roman and Linda disappeared, leaving Sasha and Bayley in his office.
